Try papier mache. It's a fun project and can be broken down to last over a couple of days. Then have a play with the masks if that is what you've made. Make brownies or muffins together. My son LOVES cooking together. We've done it since he was 1yr or so.

Thanks for all of the ideas! Harper really enjoys finger paints and drawing so she will definitely like painting anything! She also LOVES to cook and helps me with all of the meals during the day. She is especially up for baking!..the treasure box idea sounds like a lot of fun and I am off to look up paper mache right now!

THere are tons of things that can be done. Soup, coffee, veg and fruit cans can be cleaned then painted. Make them into pencil holders. Also, 20 oz pop bottles can be turned into bird feeders. YOu can find how to do that online.

finger paints messy but fun for both of you and coloring my youngest loves to doodle i jus buy her those fat crayons they use in play school and kidergarden or there is a reciepe in many of kid friendly craft books for etable play doh
