I was recomended to use a net bag , like the ones that u get with the washing powder tablets and put 4 or 5 frozen grapes in it and my little one chewed on that for ages and gave her great comfort.Seedless grapes pf course ;)

Like many moms here, we use Hyland's teething tablets. They worked great for us. I use homeopathy for many things with my daughter... she has never had Tylenol or motrin.... best to keep them out of their little systems... it harms their livers. Do a google search on children's tylenol lawsuits. It may give you pause to ever use it again!

First of all, regarding the lemon remedy: I am pretty sure you aren't supposed to give an infant younger than a year any citrus fruit. I know infant's Motrin is a good choice for teething pain because it reduces any swelling along with reducing pain, but if you're like me, you don't want to keep your baby full of meds ALL the time. There are pain relievers out there that are all natural, so I prefer to use those on a regular basis, and Motrin when my son seems really agitated from the pain. ALSO, Munchkin makes a little netted thing that is meant to hold fruit inside it so babies can eat the fruit without choking on any pieces. I use that to put ice inside and my son just gums away at it. It seems to ease some pain for him.

If you go to a health food store and look for ( Teething Tablets) in the homopathics area or just ask, these are THE BEST they work awesome. My 8 month old daughter has 8 teeth and i have used them for her all the time and they work very well.

My son hated the orajel. He loved chewing on wet wash cloths...so I put a wet washcloth in the freezer for a minute just to get it super cold. He loved them when he was teething he would naw at it for hours!

Hylands teething tablets is the best thing I have found for my son. He doesn't like the orajel put in his mouth (who would blame a baby that stuff is nasty). The teething tablets dissolve which makes it much easier on your fingers too :).

I heard lemons are not good to give to babies due to the high level of citric acid.. bad for there gums as well as adults :)

what worked great for my first son is freeze a piece of fruit, wrap a washcloth around it and let him chew away. If that doesn't work just try putting a freezable teething ring into the freezer for a few minutes (just make sure you have more handy so they won't get too warm). Good Luck!

Buy one of those mesh feeders, freeze breastmilk/formula in an ice cube tray and put it in the feeder. Kinda squish with your hand and let him gnaw on it. Other than that, tylenol before bed is what I've done. Baby orajel is worthless anyway, so you aren't missing much, :). Tried it with my first, didn't do anything but make him mad.

Frozen waffles. Put him in a highchair and let him gnaw on one. It'll last a while and you can get something done like cleaning up or cooking dinner. At night just give him some Tylenol and hopefully it will work for a few hours so you both can get some sleep!

Wal-mart carries an all natural tablet that will dissolve under their tongue. I use it with the little boy I babysit and it works wonders! I wish I had known about it when mine were teething...I'm sorry I don't know what it's called, but it's a little white bottle.

I was told by my pediatrician not to use Oragel because it's a choke hazard. It actually stops their gag reflex. I used to put my kids suthers in the freezer. I'd fill them up with water and let them get half frozen. The gums would get the numbing effect and they'd get some much needed liquid into their system too. :) Hope this helps..ohhh..this works with the teether toys too, the ones with liquid in them..

I used to freeze bananas, and use them for teething, for two reasons, one they can't choke on it, and two they seem to lose some of their appetite when teething, so they are eating while soothing their gums...Hope this has been helpful, and best of luck.

the washcloth in the freezer always worked for my kids.. and I like Motrin for the pain better than tylenol.. motrin (ibuprofen) is an anti-inflammatory which will help with the swelling of the gums... good luck!!

My twins are teething at the moment and scream constantly. I use Brauer natural teething drops. Also, I make up caffeine free camomile tea in a bowl and leave a flannel/s to soak in it in the fridge. When my boys are sore I simply pull the cold flannel out of the tea and they suck and bite on it. The cold helps relieve the pain and the camomile tea soothes them. It was recommended by my paediatrician and I find it very effective.

Clove oil! But it has to be the good stuff, not some watered down version. My pediatrician recommended this and says that it is still used in the dental field today to numb the gums! :)

Hope I don't get arrested but plain ole whiskey. Just dip your finger in the whiskey then rub the babie's gums. Drink whats left for some rest for the both of you.

Frozen Spoon, frozen fruit placed in a teether feeder, wet baby washcloth, teething rings all work for my 9mo old. I also heard you can dip you baby's pacifier (if they use one) in brandy. It helps numb the pain. Haven't tried it though. Good luck :)

not sure if someone already posted it but Hyland's makes teething tablets. you can pick them up at walmart pharmacy section, i would ask someone to point them out for you since it doesnt really make sense where they put them. not sure what they are made off but they help calm down my little one.

Something cold always worked for my kids... holding the end of a rubber toothbrush in your childs mouth helps too

no matter what your mom says, whiskey on the gums doesn't work. LOL... i tried it... ask your doc if there is a script you can try too.. my son has eczema and geographic tongue which are believed to be related. He had a syrup type stuff that i coated his tongue before he ate so it didn't sting. Maybe something like that would work for you baby?

Wet a washcloth, wring dry, and place in the freezer. Take out when frosted over. Give to baby. The cold will soothe/numb gums.
