I have a 7 year old boy and 3 year old twin girls. I've never been good at housekeeping, but my house is getting ridiculus. I don't want it to be spotless, just presentable. I'm so embarassed when people just drop by. I have a foot of laundry in my hall way and dishes stacked up all over the kitchen to where I can't see the counter. and the rest of the house looks just the same. Does anybody have any tips on how to keep it clean once I get it that way. I'm not the type of person to stick to it very long either.

With a 7 year old and three year old twins, here is my one piece of advice. Don't answer the door! People should call first. I am a SAHM with 3 kiddos. 15, 5 and 10 months and we homeschool. We are home all day. My house is being used from sun up to sun down. Period! I used to stress all the time about my house not being presentable for company who just "dropped by". Finally my husband told me to stop answering the door! My #1 priority right now is my children and my husband. There is no room in my life for inconsidrate friends. By that I mean, people who don't call first and then expect my home to look like the home of a family whose kids are in school all day and both parents work. That is physically impossible! Sorry for the rant! :D
