My son is 5 months old and has been on solids for around a month, oatmeal, veggies and friut, a soon as he sees hes getting in his high chair he gets excited, then more as the bib comes, and when hes sees the food and the spoon he opens his mouth and kicks and shakes wanting food, once i get food in his mouth he closes and goes mmmmm, im just wondering if anyones little one goes nuts for solids like mine?

that would be my son to a "t" lol he loves food i have to really say no and mean it when it comes to food that he cant have yet

Sounds like the first time my daughter had baby strained prunes. Wow! She loved them, and wore them proudly! She was like that with every fruit and most veg, but hated meat. She still won't eat meat 18 years later, although she will eat some chicken.
My son was never that excited until he got old enough to eat hamburgers. That was his first word, actually.

lol yes sounds like my 10 month old. When i started him on solids he wants more and does the 'Mmm' sound. Hasnt changed now hes older but he loves his food.

My 10 month old twin boys expecially Byron...loves baby food and starts getting excited as soon as I put him in his highchair. If I don't feed them asap, I give him a spoon, which excites him more for what is to come. I thought it was only my boys who acted like that. When they are eating Julian will sit there with his mouth open after he is done with his last bit waiting for me to feed Byron and come back to him. They are so funny. They are also this way about any medicine. They get excited as soon as they see it, and they don't even get meds everyday...I guess it is just another one of there things they do. So don't think you are alone...my boys gets excited too...Take care, Kim
