I was expecting DCFS to come to our home after being at BM's from this past weekend. She came by unexpected which is fine thats their job ---our house was clean no worries :)

The DCFS worker said that she would like to talk about a plan to go ahead and start some kind of services she is unsure but wants to help the boys on talking them out so they can pin point what exactly they are trying to say. But wait! She didn't even talk to us?! She said Im going to talk to my supervisor and see what he wants to do. This was all at 3pm! I assumethey talked more to the kids at school today! This Sucks! I get so mad,

BM always does this.

Anyone else get pissed? I just hate the govt in my home! But I have nothing to hide so im cooperating. we live a clean life and the SK's are spoiled lol so im not understanding..this just well sucks!

UPDATE:

She called and let me and my dh know she is unsubstiating however, she will need the children to be evaluated for anger!! so thats what im going to schedule first thing MON morn

I have indeed dealt with CPS. It was a combination of a school principal who believed that children don't suffer from mental illness and considered me to be the one who was mentally ill, and my son's mental illness (he is Bipolar, ADHD, and ODD and hates being told what to do, which, of course, is exactly what they try to do to him all day at school). She got him to say that there was no food in the house, that he had no clean clothes, that we had drugs everywhere, and that we beat him. So one day CPS showed up at the door.

They discovered that by food my son meant ice cream and chips. We had plenty of fruit, vegetables, eggs, cereal, milk, and so on. They also discovered that he had clean clothes but refused to wear them or put the dirty ones in the laundry basket. The drugs were there, but they were all prescription medications for my husband who was disabled and psycho-active ones for our son.

And we don't hit him, he hits us. Since my husband was both over 65 and disabled, that made it a violation of state law by our son. That meant that APS (Adult Protective Services) got involved, too, and now our son has a record. We warned him, but he refused to believe us, that folks don't hit other people or push them down on the floor.

Eventually, all was wrapped up and CPS even sent an advocate to the school to make sure my son was getting the services he needs.

We did also get some free counseling services out of it, which was helpful in that my husband doesn't go to any of our other "talking doctors." Oh, and free school supplies.

The question to me is why would DCFS have been called in to begin with. Do your kids behave badly at school? Have things happened at BM's house (biological mom? birth mom? I don't know this abbreviation). In any case, an evaluation for anger is no big deal. My son is ODD, among other things, and has frequently been evaluated for anger. And a lot of times, kids that live in more than one household, each with its own rules, are often angry and sometimes confused.
