my poor daughter! its not that she is constipate i dont think but she gets horrible belly aches that make her scream. we have tried the change in formula to similac sensitive from the advanced cuz she had vomiting issues. and the dr told us its safe to put mylicon drops in every bottle but i have a feeling thats what makes it hard for her to poop. any suggestions or anyone had this issue, i welcome some advice!

Try giving her 1/2 teaspoon of aloe vera in her bottle once a day, if her poop is too hard and that's why she's having trouble. If that's not the problem she may have a problem with formula and/or milk. My brother was allergic to formula and had to drink cow's milk. My daughter couldn't handle either or soy milk for that matter. We finally had to start giving her rice milk. But by that point she was already eating solids so she was getting the main part of her nutrients from that.

My poor daughter had the same thing and we tried five different formulas for this problem and acid reflux. In the end my daughter was so constipated that the health visitor said give her some 100%watered down apple juice and hey presto! The natural sugars in the fruit are enough to help things get moving. So from the age of 12 weeks she was drinking organic apple juice and boiled water about 1oz a day. Give it a go, it might just do the trick!

Look at the Allimentum carefully before you buy it though. My friend had her son on it by prescription because he was allergic to milk, soy and protein. there is no nutritional value to this formula and should only be used if the Dr tells you to use it.

It's really expensive, but try Nutramigen or Allimentum if the sesitive formulas don't work... Could be an allergy to milk. My friend's son had the same problem, and she has him on Allimentum and he is now the happiest little guy with no more belly problems!

Look it up on yahoo, but the LOVE rub is what worked fro us. Our first was a bad one for throwing up and we put him on Enfamil gentealease and Enfamil thickened and those helped a lot. Check the amount of iron in her formula. Lots of iron makes it hard to pass poop and can also cause a child to throw up in excess. Try to find one with low iron and it should work too:)
