I guess I do...I never really put a label to my parenting style. I just did what felt natural. I breast feed on demand, co-sleep and wear my baby (she's 1) on my hip.

Stephanie, honestly, out of the diapers I've tried, I still like the Chinese prefolds from Pinstripes and Polka-dots the best. They're easy, the fit under his clothes, and with a pair of old fashioned rubber pants they work just as well as the bigger bulkier ones. Bastian detests feeling wet, so I have to change any diaper the second he wets it, might as well have a ton of $1.50 prefolds than a few of any other.

lol - I forgot about the cding - I did it for dd#1, but haven't been able to as much with dd#2 - no time! I agree, Shiloh, you did put it very well - thank you! Stephanie - as for cding, for me at least, the diapers pay for themselves in about a month or so, if I used them exclusively, but I'm lucky in that our association pays for our water, so if I knew what our water bill was, it might take longer for cd's to pay for themselves, compared to the cost of diapers. To justify sposies (for myself), I try to get the chlorine free kind, so at least they don't do more harm than good (unless there's a sale, lol!). hth!

thank you all, i just like to find other mother's that have the same parenting views as i do, and i am glad you're out there! :) shiloh, you put my thoughts into words, thank you! :) one thing i don't do is cloth diaper, like you judi, i would like to, but i can't bring myself to spend $400 to $500 on the diapers at once, because that's how many i would need....i guess i could buy a couple at a time...i assume it comes down to laziness, mostly! :(

To me, it is second nature to raise a child that way. It is the golden rule to treat others as you would like to be treated, and that is how I am with my children. I use honesty, love, consistency, and patience. I co-sleep, babywear, breastfeed on demand, and use positive reinforcement rather than punishment. I feel good about the way my children act and the things they do, and I look for the reason behind their actions and address that, rather than trying to control their every move. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that my children will never doubt that they are loved and supported. It may be surprising to some, but this method of parenting has made everything easier, because my children feel secure and safe, they can ask for my attention rather than acting out to get it.

Hi, I just joined, and have been looking for other Semi-AP moms, so thanks for asking this! We don't really call ourselves attachment parents, but we do wear him (he's only been in a stroller maybe 2-3 times his whole life! He's cuddled when he wants to be, and he nurses on demand. He only sleeps with us when we fall asleep during nursing though.

Yup, I'm all about attachment parenting. I don't clothe diaper tho.
As, I type this my 14 month old son is sleeping on me after he nursed himself to sleep. I also have a soon-to-be 4 yr old son.
How old are your sweet ones?

For the most part. My daughter still co-sleeps and nurses on demand. I wear/wore them as much as possible - slings mostly. And I just try to have an attachment kind of philosophy behind my parenting, not sure if that makes sense.

Not purposefully, but I kind of do. Both girls co-sleep/slept with us, I carry both girls (mei tai or sling), etc. Not sure if that helps?
