My husband & I are going to be trying for our second baby soon. I'm just looking for some ideas as to how to tell my husband and our families when I am expecting again!

That's funny! I took the test before my husband woke up, and I left it sitting on the sink in the bathroom for him to see, and he came in and sat down by me on the couch and said, "So what do you think about Caroline for a girl?" And I said, "You saw the test!" and he said, "Um, what test?" lol he hadn't even seen it yet...but he was very happy when he did!

I don't know about telling the family but I know when (and if) I ever get pregnant again, I'll set the table for 4 instead of 3 to tell my husband. Maybe have a onesie and a bottle sitting on the "extra" place setting....I always thought that was romantic and cute lol!

So does your profile picture mean you're pregnant? Congratulations! Did you tell him this way?

Yes I am pregnant!  But no, I didn't get the chance to tell him by setting the table.  He saw me counting the days how late I was so when we went to the store he knew I was buying a test and after we got home he was in the room with me when I took it lol  He's happy as can be though :)

A friend of mine told me this idea, and it's what I did to tell my facebook friends that I'm pregnant (found out a week ago!). Take a picture of the back of your 1st child's head looking at the computer screen on a zoomed in article about becoming the big brother or sister. It's so cute, and it's fun to see how long it takes people to realize!

It's funny we purchased a t-shirt for my son who was 6 at the time he had the t-shirt on all day and none of our family members caught on until my son said I am going to be a big brother. I guess my family members can't read. LOL. For telling my husband be bought baby rattle & teddy bear and my son gave it to my husband and he was shocked and pleased at the same time. Then my son gave the teddy and rattle in the hospital to our second son.

I love the onsie idea. When we got pregnant with #1 I gave my parents a book that they needed to fill out for their grandchildren about themselves. The look on my mom's face when she realized we were pregnant was priceless.

Thanks! I had read that idea somewhere else and concidentially, I was at Walmart the other week and they had "I'm the Big Brother" tshirts for only $3! Needless to say, I bought one in a bigger size (just to be safe). I figured if nothing else, I could use it at church to tell people :)

My niece was 10 months old when my sister found out she was pregnant again, so she made a onesie that said, "I'm the big sister." It was fun to watch people's reactions to it. It took them awhile to get it! They all seemed confused at first, and then you could watch the realization wash over their faces. It was great fun! That might be a good way to tell your families, or people at work or church!

This is a good topic! I'm excited to see what other people say!
