my daughters extended family has flown in from the other side of the country, and I decided to bake chocolate chip muffins. i baked them lastnight, and when i woke up they seem to be hard as rocks....is there anything i can do to soften them up??? the inside is soft, but the outside is hard :( my daughters cousins are coming and they love muffins, and know i am bringing some!

A slice of apple in the container with the muffins should keep them from drying out so fast, but that's only going to help next time... sorry :)

or you can stick them in something that has a cover and put in a couple pecies of bread with them and that should soften them up.

You might just want to make more. Idk if u can soften them up. Since there chocolate chip muffins u cant up them in the macro they melt. theres a trick that i do with muffins and cakes. When you take them out of the oven stick them in the freezer to cool and then cover them up and they should stay soft and moist.

Honestly, I would think that they maybe just dried out if they are hard as a rock :( Personally, I would whip up a new batch.
