target diapers smell horrible after they're wet, i think other than that i did like those.. but they got mushy on me too. my boy just pees a lot!

okay wow! didn't expect to see so many posts :) but thanks for all of the help. the plastic diaper covers make my son sweat, so that's a negative. i'm def going to try huggies overnights next. :) my son is going to be 5 mths on the 12th, i had him in a 3 but they just don't cover his butt and his poop falls out, which is why he is in a 4-5 depending on the make of the diapers. i wish they made disposable super absorbent cloth diapers, i'd feel so much better about life. hahaha but once again thanks for all the help ♥

I swear by the pampers baby dry, they are the only ones that will hold in my sons pee... I absolutly hated huggies, when ever we tried them with in 30-45 min he was soaked.

Im glad I seen this post cause the same thing happens with my son.. We use the huggies & they load up fast. I even tried the night time pull ups but those don't even work..

BUT I stopped giving him something to drink during bed & they aren't as bad when he wakes up, but if he has a lot to drink before bed its loaded :)

I use Snugglers nappies. They are made by Huggies and I have found them to hold everything

try putting a cloth diaper plastic cover over the disposable diaper. i had to do that with my now 2 yr old daughter. if your son is in a size 4 diaper you'll probably need the 2T-3T size. in the morning just change your son by a sink to the pee that did leak thru the diaper and is inside the plastic pants doesn't make a mess everywhere.

We love pampers and Luvs for our son. He's 21 months now and sleeps a good 11-12 hours at night and we very rarely have leaks. The generic costco ones are working ok, but not quite as well

I've always had my son in bigger diapers. He is 18 months and 30lbs, been using size 6 pampers 12hr at night and he still pees thru them. He gets most of his fluids in the morning and just sips thru the afternoon with only food in the evening and he is still in need of a change by 4am. some kids just pee ALOT!!
I've been meaning to get some diaper liners from babysrus to see how they help.

I bought a product called "Diaper Doubles" it looks like a maxi pad inside the diaper. My son leaked every night and it was the only thing that worked for me. I found them at Albertsons and Stater Bros. Good luck.

My son had the same problem so we use Huggies overnights and they work amazing I don't have to wake him up at night to change him or worry that his bed and clothes are going to be covered in pee in the morning.

I've always used regular Pampers for my 7-month-old son, and he rarely has leaks or poo blowouts.



I tried one package of premium Huggies, but every single time it leaked out the side (after a short time too). I had to stop using them and gave away the rest of the package.



I think it depends on whether it's a boy or girl and their body shape.



Try going up one or two sizes just for night time, and make sure you put on the diaper really straight and tight, etc.

I use LUV's - they have overnight diapers but they smaller size is a 4. I don't know what size your son is but those might work. The other this could be to make sure his thing is pointing down otherwise he will be soaked. We had that with our son and once we started making sure to put his thing down he stopped soaking himself. His diaper is still really soaked but it doesn't go anywhere. I hope you find something!

I use cloth diapers, they are awesome, especially for overnight. They are super absorbent, i would suggest getting just 2 or 3 overnight cloth diapers, they help prevent diaper rash too.

I had the same problem with my son. I found it didn't matter the brand he still woke up wet! I buy one size larger for bed time use and no longer have a problem. Money is tight for us so I use the store brand and this still works for me. Good luck.

I saw where you said your son is 4 months old and in a size 4...What brand of diapers are you currently using? I have a 2 year old in a size 3 Huggies. If you do have him in a size 4, that is probably way to big for him...try to down size, that may help too.

I agree with Kristina, I used Huggies overnights for my son and he was the same way...they worked great! Plus, if they are leavking from the top, try folding the top over and that helps to keep the pee from coming over the top:) Good luck!

Get the huggies overnights!! they are great!! they are like those super obsorbant diaper pads the hospital gives you after you have the baby!! they are worth the extra you spend on them because your only using one a night so they last like a month!!

and i've tried luvs. luvs seem to be super thin compared to all of the other diapers i've used. even the ones that are suppose to be thicker. idk.

well he's only 4 months old, and he's in a size 4. ik they make specific overnight diapers, but i just wanted some suggestions because dishing out the money for diapers that aren't really that much thicker is ridiculous! lol :P

I cloth diaper, but we use Huggies or Luvs at night. Why is the diaper leaking- is there a gap between his thighs and the gusset? Or is the diaper too small?

I had a friend who solved her bedtime leaking problems by moving to the next size up at night. I don't know how old your son is, but if he's getting sippy cups of any sort can you cut back on them starting at 6pm or so?

You have to see what works for your kids. They all fit a little differently on each kid. I used the Costco brand diapers for my kids and they worked great. My older two were both in diapers for a while. We tried buggies and they worked for my daughter and not my son so we ended up staying with the Costco ones because they worked for both. Try a few different brands and see what works.

Each child tends to be different. What works for some, doesn't always work for another. Your best bet, is to try different brands until you find one that doesn't leak. For my daughter, the only thing that doesn't leak is huggies. Also, if your son is close to being ready for the next size diaper (like my daughter is 14lbs, and should be in size 2's, but 3's aren't terribly huge on her), then go with the larger size at night.
