My son has recently developed a rash over his back, shoulders, chest and a little on his face under the eyes and on forehead, i let it go for a week but have now taken him to the doctor who recommended epti-vlax(i think) will need to check the jar and Betnovate Scalp. What other products are out there that have worked for you, as natural as possibe nothing too harsh, this is all new to me.

Hi Deidre,
My Niece used to have eczema. Her cheeks used to get so red and chapped they would bleed. I honestly think that Renew Lotion is probably the best bet for your son. There are many products out today that make eczema worse. Check this link out, I think it might help you.

Hope this helps a bit.

My oldest son breaks out with eczema rashes all winter long and we use the Aveeno baby cream that helps with eczema. I also have started using the Aveeno one that my husband use's for himself on my son and it works well.

I agree with Dorie! AVeeno BAby products are wonderful, very natural and hypo-allergenic. If you need something specifically to treat eczema, try the Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream. It works wonders in healing the driest skin. For the bath, you can try Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo which is gentle to the skin and scalp and smells terrific too without being harsh in moisturizing the skin.

I found that the Aveeno products work very well on sensitive skin for most any type of rash. The oatmeal bath is GREAT! Aveeno has several products available and so far they have all been wonderful in my house :)
