Hi, I need just a wee bit of time without the little guy on my hip....

PJ is 9 months old, extremely bright and very happy. He loves to crawl, loves musical toys and needs to be entertained all of the time.

What TV shows will keep his attention? I love Sesame Street. He is attracted to singing.

Any ideas?

Hi Jennifer, depending on who your provider is, I would look into Babyfirst Tv. It's only like $5 a month and it's all educational. They have some wonderful shows and my daughter (14mos) LOVES it!! I don't like her watching too much tv but sometimes you just need time to do stuff and this is the perfect channel. We've had it since she was a few months old and has loved every since show that was perfect for her age at the time. I would highly recommend it over any other show.

When she gets tired of it she also likes Clifford the big red dog (she loves the singing too) and Curius George.

I use PBS too. My son is a Curious George and Sesame Street fan. Also In the Night Garden on Treehouse... he is in a coma when that show comes on.

I pretty much leave PBS on all day at my house. Annabelle loves Super Why and Clifford. She "dances" to the theme songs, it's hilarious.

My 12 month old is in love with Little Einsteins. Since he was 9 months he would drop whatever he was doing when he heard the theme song. They are all very musical and it's actually a cute show...I've even caught my husband humming the songs! Also check with your provider about on-demand so you can play an episode whenever you need a 20 min rest!

My boys both love the Backyardigans. They sing, they are colorful and not a bad show in my opinion. I also used the Baby Einstein DVDs. They really keep their attention...but that's not TV.
