Personally I like to hold on to most of the lightly used items that my lil guy has been speeding through. Some things that I have from my older children though I go through them and decide if they are barely used, Once Upon a Child...someone mentioned they are super picky, THEY ARE! Other things that have a few stains or so on them I just donate. The only thing that I do really like about once upon a child is that at mine, the things they refuse, I can have them just donate them. Ours donates to the Womens and Childrens shelter, so I have no problems with the stuff they don't want, going to a good cause. If you have the time though yard sale is the best way to make some money off of unwanted clothes.
Hope this helps and good luck!

I personally prefer to have a yard sale. I think it's easier. I took my children's clothes to a store and they only gave me like $16 or so. I made more money selling their clothing at our yard sale.
Hope this helps a bit.

Now that the weather is warming up and everyone is into spring cleaning yardsales could be a great option. Get together with a few friends that also have some gently used items to sell and pick a weekend to set one up...you can distribute ways to get the word out and responsibilities such as where to set it up and who keeps an eye on the change box. Otherwise, check your area for stores like Once Upon a Child. They give you cash on the spot for items that they can sell in their store. They are a little picky though.....the clothes have to be in style within the last year or two and they have super florescent lighting so EVERY stain shows up on your clothes!!! But do keep in mind that if you plan on having more children you should keep the clothes that you would dress more babies of the same sex in. I boxed my little girls up in separate boxes according to size. Something to think about :)
