Both my kids have winter birthdays and we're always doing a craft. One big hit was a Pirate-themed party for my boy - we had one big Pirate Ship by Calafant and a pirate craft kit for each kid. They decorated their toys like mad and then engaged in a 2 hour play with these toys - it was great! Not much work for me :) and each kid got to take their own toy home, so we were all set for the goodie-bag as well. Well worth the money. I found those items on http://www.CreativeToyshop.com and highly recommend them. They have the same items for a Princess party which I'm going to do for my daughter this year!

my daughter just turned 2 and she had a hello kitty theme party because her favorite character was hello kitty. and she had a hello kitty mascot. the rest of the kids really enjoy it and they have a lot of games and some prizes.

My daughter has a winter birthday (January). I do not do the whole princess, barbie, character themed anything so we had a spring tea party for her this year. All of the kids got to decorate thier own tea set and it was a blast. We did it over lunch time and we had the little sandwiches, fruit in cute little cupcake papers, fancy crackers and spreads. Afterwards we took all the kids to the park because it warmed up enough to let them go burn off all that energy.
