i am british and our names are a little different. i have two sons with traditional names jorge and thomas, but i did like my fathers name mitchell, also if we had a girl she would have been poppy, dolly, or connie(constance) .

My son's name is Ethan Tyler. If I have another boy, his name will more than likely be Logan Thomas (Thomas after my dad.) And I have no idea for a girl's name!

My daughter is Samantha Kate. My hub and I have long formal names that shorten to three letters (Liz, Ted) We call her Sam. If we have a boy his name will be Jack Eugene. Jack is hubs dad and late grandfather. Eugene is all of their middle names. If we have another girl, I like the names maryjane, hannah and Finnly

First daughter is Jayly Violet, 2nd daughter is Carmyn Jaycee, and 3rd child only son is Cameron Jason. Jayly is a combination of mom and dad(Jason, Shelly) Violet is my grandmothers name who died one month b4 Jayly was born or she would have been Jayly Mae but I love Violet. Carmyn just because we like it and Jaycee is her sisters and daddys initals (J.C.) and Cameron has been Cameron since we were prego for the first baby our boy name has never changed but if I could go back in time I would have named them Jayly, Jaycee and Jaxon.

I have 1 girl and 1 boy. My daughters name is London Mckenzi Grace and my sons name is Tyson Curtis Shayne. Weirdly enough if my daughter ended up being a boy the name wouldn't have been names Tyson it would have actually been Austin. If Tyson ended up being a girl the name would have been Sydney.

Becket (can also be a girls name) , Jamison(not Jamie), Royal, just met a little girl with the name Greyson. I like names that are not common and that are not easily made fun of.

nikkole- i feel you on the twilight thing. i named my daughter emily-rose, BEFORE that horror flick came out, but i still get asked about it and she is 7. she was actually supposed to be emily patricia-rose, patricia after my grandmother and rose after her father's aunt, but he filled out the form and thought because the line was shorter for the middle name he couldn't fit both. so he changed it without telling me.

love all the names! i have two daughters. my eldest is Penelope Ann (Ann after both her grandmother's ) and we mostly call her Penny. She fits her name perfectly from day one! my youngest is Scarlett Avery.(just loooooved both names) :) People ask me all the time if Scarlett is named for Scarlett O'hara and although she is not, she is turning into one spunky little girl so the name fits her soo perfectly! if we have a boy one day, he will be named Orion Douglas. :)

My son is Alexander Matthew William, Matthew after his dad and William after both my partners and my granddads, Alexander was a name I liked before I even knew I was pregnant! and my daughter is Skye Isobella, Both names we just loved from the start, Isobel is my cousin's middle name so she was thrilled when I said that Skye would have Isobella as her middle name!! x

We have Charles Xavier and Vorian Alexander . We wanted to name the first Xavier , but it is a family tradition for the first son to be named charles. He goes by his middle name. And we "fought" over son #2s name for a long time before i finally caved in and said ok we can use Vorian. lol Now i can't see him being named anything else.

I have a son and another on the way. My husband and I love unusual names, so after naming out first Kanin (Kay-Nin) Andrew we had a really hard time coming up with another unusual boy name that we liked. We are going to name our newest Kyler Gustin. My husband's name is Kelly so I will have a KKK clan but not on purpose.

I had wanted to name my son Kaden Xander so bad, but my husband hated all of it. He won, we ended up naming our son after him - Robert. We call him Robbie, though. At first, I was real upset about it, because I hate "traditional" names... but the more I thought about it, I'm glad we made that decision. Anything ending in 'aden' are such popular names these days. I now think Robert is a nice strong name. Although I can not WAIT to name our next children what I want to name them. I love the name Olivia Lucille, I think it has a great ring to it. I also love the names Kinsley, and Lovelyn for girls. For boys, I love the names Malakai, Xander, and Kyler.

My daughter's name is Miya Faye. My husband was determined that was the spelling of her name. I would have wanted Maya or Mya. Her middle name is after a sister of his who died before he was born and she was 12 years old. All of his sisters gave their girls the middle name Faye so I agreed that he should have a daughter with the same middle name as all the other girls.

Love this thread! :)

My daughters are Olivia Claire, Natalie Wynn and Shawna Paige.

Shawna would have been Henry Joseph if she was a boy. Nickolas Matthew would have been Olivia's name. We didn't have a boy's name picked out for Natalie.

My son's name is Daniel Conan. Being teachers we had a hard time picking names because you just see so many kids, and you're like "I don't want my kid to end up like that kid", so the name pool (especially for boys) seems limited. My husband really wanted Conan-like Conan the Barbarian, not Conan O'Brien or anything! I am not fond of it, but it's a middle name. Daniel came about just sitting around talking to family with people throwing out names. We call him Daniel-not Dan or Danny. That's kind of the family thing-neither mine nor my sister's names were shortened in the family and neither were my SO's or his sister's, so we are sticking with that!

HAHAHAHA! ok,I saw the mom with the cars/truck theme family . I like that alot!

I have 2 girls with theme names too,but it's on the si-fi side.

Phoenix Marie is 6,and her sister is Kira Nerys(ni-reese) is just 1.

My hubby and I are-can anyone guess?- STAR TREK fans!LMAO

Phoenix is the name of a ship, and Kira Nerys is a charactor from one of the series's(deep space9). The middle name,"Marie" is a family thing,my MIL,my Aunt, and myself all have Marie as our middles.

Oh i have to add that when you're thinking up names ,take care to notice what the initals will be also! We didn't even take this into concideration with Phoenix until it was too late...hers are P.M.S. ooooppps!

I have one ((almost 2-year old)) son named Carl Peyton!! The Carl was my late granfather's first name and my husband's dad's name so we pleased both families with that one!! I am hoping that my next one will be a girl and I really love the idea of them have ing the same initials so I LOVE the name Cailstyn Paige!!! ((Don't know how well that will go over with the hubby though because he is stuck on Trystan!!)) I also love the name Brett for a girl ♥

So many awesome names! I love it, and hearing that there is meaning to them makes it so much better. It is so much fun picking out names, that's for sure. I think we are gonna name our next one Alison Violet, after my great grandma who is 98 years old. If it is a boy, we aren't too sure. I have a hard time picking boys names for some reason. Funny thing is though that growing up my 2 fav boys names were Aaron and Ryan. And so creepy.. that's my fiances full name, Aaron Ryan. Weird hey?!

My daughter's name is Jordan but since it is so common we call her JoJo. It stuck and now that's her name to everyone around her, including at her mother's day out program. What is funny is our son's name is Cohen, but she calls him CoCo and I am really trying to not let that one stick, he's a boy and ya know. He would prob get hell for it in the future.

John Wesley, Ashlyn Elizabeth, Sarah Laney. My husband named our son, it took a while to settle on Ashlyn. I knew it had to have Elizabeth somewhere. Sarah was a name we chose when we were pregnant with the other 2 (never thought we'd have a third) and Laney is my maiden name.

my daughters name is Grace Lynn. we call her Gracie. when we picked her name we wanted something that wasnt super common, but not too hard for her to spell, or for anyone else to pronounce. we only have one kid for now but plan on 2 total eventually. our next if a girl will be named Ella May. and if a boy Rylan Christopher. :) names are tough, but so much fun to be able to choose what your kids are gonna be stuck with. haha.

I have 4 girls, all with a theme, ha. 3 cars and 1 truck
When i got prego the first time, my bf(later was my hubby) had wanted to name a girl Mercedes...so ok that would be it if she was a girl...Low and behold we have a Mercedes!
My 2nd is Lexus, and we came up with that one after much debate over names( I liked Alexis, he didnt want an Alex) so Lexus was our choice if she was a girl.
Next is Shelby, and well shes a classic muscle car.
last but not least Sierra.
my first 2 kids got named after our parents, and well primarly because my hub at the time didnt want more then 2 kids so we kinda crammed it all in more a less.
my other 2 got favorite choices.
Mercedes Christina Raeanne ( Tina is my MIL and Ray is my FIL...both have passed away now)
Lexus Brianna Dean (Brian is my dad and Doreen is my mom but she also goes by Dean)
Shelby Lauren Jade( La-Ren and Jade just cuz I loved it!)
Sierra Ashlen Faith ( ashlen my kids picked and faith cuz it took some time to get prego with her)
If my kids were boys
Mercedes would have been Blake Brian Ray
Lexus- Laine Brian Reid
Shelby- Jag Ashton Reid
Sierra- Talon Ashton Reid
I like the name Reid, lol it was also my best friend growing up, thats her last name.
so there it is...enjoy,lol
