Baby acne on the scalp and arms?
My son has red bumps all over his cheeks, chin, neck and back of his neck. Im assuming its baby acne but its on his scalp as well and he has a couple on his arms...I was wondering if anyone has experienced baby acne on the scalp and arms or if it might be something else?!?!? They dont seem to itch or bother him at all.....

sounds like exema, and/or sensitive skin. try products like California Baby products sold at target, they're organic gentle and their calendela (exema) cream cleared my sons problems up. same for his cradle cap. do check other products they come into contact with as well ie. laundry detergent and other products that you or others around him use, could be allergies. avoid steroids like cortizone although many dr's recommend them they have a tendency to dry and irritate more in the long run.

It is dry, in the sun it almost looks scaly. I dont really notice it getting worse after a bath...only when hes crying or overheated....its like patchy on his face...almost looks like a rash...but it seems to be spreading down his chest, hes getting some on his arms, back of neck, however those look like acne and arent patchy like his face, but his face did start out looking like baby acne....he has a dr. appt on the 14th...should I try and get him in before then?

I thought my daughter had baby acne at first but it turned out to be eczema. Is the skin dry? Does it get worse after you bath him?

He's 5 weeks old...he doesn't have alot on his arms...just a couple...but he does have baby acne all over his scalp...he has an appointment next friday...I'll just be sure to ask his pediatrician about baby acne on the scalp and if it starts spreading I'll be sure to call sooner...thanks!

how old is he? my son had the neonatal acne on his scalp and face .. he had some red bumps on the rest of his body but it was determined he had very sensitive skin and it was an allergic reaction from being held by people who had perfumes/colognes on.

I have never experienced red bumps..both my kids have non noticeable ones on their arms and legs....Just to be on the safe side if you are concerned I would ask the doctor about baby acne on the scalp at your next visit if they don't go away. If it spreads call to get an appointment he could have had an allergic reaction to something
