We sent our members boxes of trash bags to try out, courtesy of our friends at Glad®, and asked them to share their experience with us:

"Which ones were your favorite and why?"

Loving the febreeze bags. I used them in my daughter's diaper pail and for the first time her room doesn't stink. It's definately cheaper to buy those than the fancy bags for the diaper pail that don't block the smell!

Finally im on!
I was shocked when I got th trash bags in! There were many choices in there!
We liked to febreeze ones. With two children they work well for stinky diapers, and garbage. They were durable and tough. I will definitly be switching to these bags from now on!
We also liked the recycling bags. We have lots of recycling eith the baby food jars and formula containers, so these worked well for us!
The products were all great and I am totally convinced that GLAD is what we will be using for our family!!!!

Thanks So much for the chance to try these items. I loved it!

I had seen the commercials for the force flex bags but had never purchashed them, thinking that they couldn't be that different from regular bags, but I am definitely a convert. The bags are awesome! 1st thing I noticed was that they don't slip from the rim of the can, you can fill up the bag and even push hard on the garbage to compact it and the bag stays put. The bags hold twice as much as my regular trash bags and we're taking out the trash half as often. The Odor shield bags are nice when you've got a household of picky eaters and messy little boys. I am impressed with the selection that was sent and will definitely buy these bags from now on. P.S. Thank you for the Yo-yo, my son and his dad have had a lot of fun with it!

My favorite was definitely the recycling bags. Our garbage cabinet consist of one recycle and one garbage, and every time we put bags in, we have to make sure we use a paper bag for the recycle can. So needless to say the recycling bags come in very handy. Also the bags with febreeze are great for extra stinky garbage.

I really liked the compost bags because they are small enough to take out every day so that we don't have rotting food sitting in our kitchen (plus, we're doing something "green"). The Force Flex bags were great as well because they just don't break!!! Having all of these options for trash bags really makes it easier to separate recycle, trash, and compost. Good Job Glad!

I love the odor guard with febreeze! My can smells fresh even though it's full of trash, including stinky fish! I was really impressed with the selection of bags sent for me to try. What mom with kids can't use a ton of trash bags :)

I was really surprised by the variety of trash bags that I received! I didn't even know they made compost bags or recycle bags. I love the force flex bags because of their ability to stretch. I was pleasantly surprised by the febreeze trash bags as well. I intentionally used them for a few days to see if I would get tired of the scent. I am 12 weeks pregnant and every scent makes me sick right now. I must say that I love how it masks the odor of the garbage, but the febreeze scent can get a little strong after awhile. Again, it is most likely because any smell makes me sick right now. I feel like I would be more inclined to buy the force flex bags in the future. I also love the compost bags and the recycle bags. The recycle bags will change how I do my recycling. Thanks GLAD!!!

My favorite out of the bunch are the compostable bags. I live in San Francisco where the city picks up compost, including food scraps, so these were a nice surprise to see in the package! Compostable baggies are usually a little more expensive too, and I didn't even know Glad made these.

I also liked the tall kitchen trash bags more than the usual bags I use. These ones had easy drawstrings instead of those longer tabs that you have to tie together. They definitely feel more durable than my other ones, too.

My least favorite was actually the recycle bags. I mean, the concept is good, but I can easily just re-use all my brown paper grocery bags from the store instead of going out to buy bags just for this use. I try to always bring my own re-usable grocery bags to the store, but I still forget to a lot of the time and the brown paper bags just seem to pile up at home. Using them to collect my recycling gets rid of them, so I'll continue to do that when this sample box runs out.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying out these Glad products and didn't expect to find such a variety! Thanks so much to COM and Glad!

I wasw so surprised at the amount of bags Glad sent to me! Thanks so much. The recycling bags are a fabulous idea; I hang one handle on a paper towel holder and this bag is jam packed! Very sturdy bags, nothing rips through and boy do they hold a lot! I will definitely be buying those. The febreeze scented garbage bags are not at all too strong but after adding used kitty litter to my can without it being sealed up separately, the garbage still does not smell! Awesome bags. I don't have composting in my town either but I just might test them out in my own garden. The Forceflex bags are also fabulous! I can cram a whole bunch of stuff in them and no rips at all! The handles are super helpful for my kids to take out the garbage. I just tie it off with the handles and they can drag it on the asphalt driveway to the corner, still no tears. I AM SOLD ON GLAD PRODUCTS

I got my package and was really surprised by selection of bags I received - there is a lot to choose from and difficult to choose my favorite.

Also I had no idea Glad made that many options of trash bags! The idea of using the recycling bags is great. I probably won't be using the bags for compost since our city does not have compost pick up. But in areas where you can do this those bags are good idea.

As to scented bags - idea is good - I like the smell - and my trash finally doesn't smell that bad!

Thank you GLAD :)

My overall favorite is the ForceFlex bags. I have used them before but these seem even less likely to break than the earlier version. I like the way they stretch without breaking when something odd-shaped is forced into the bag (that happens a lot in a household with children), and how they hug the top of the can so I no longer have to fish around for a trash bag that has sunk down below the trash because the kids have over-filled it.

In addition, I liked the stronger, lighter regular tall kitchen can bags. They also hug the top of the can so they don't slowly slide down into the trash.

I must admit I had no idea Glad made all these types of bags. I have never seen anything about either the composting bags or the recycling bags. I like the idea of both, although at the current time I can't use either. I don't compost at the moment but if I begin again I would definitely look for these. I wonder, however, if it couldn't be that ALL garbage bags could be made to be compostable. That would certainly aid us in keeping the world less messy, as well as limit the damage that plastic bags do to wildlife. Sea turtles, for example, think that floating bags in the ocean are jellyfish. They eat them with unfortunate results.

As to recycling, I do like the ability to see through the bag so you know whether it contains cans, plastic or paper, and I like the handles. Our city has recently switched to mandatory recycling (with a commensurate reduction in trash pick up) so even though I have been recycling for years I had to get new and larger recycling containers. I found some commercial ones that I line with the big, black outdoor trash bags. Unfortunately, the Glad recycling bags aren't large enough to use in these cans. I can envision other uses, however, because of the handles that would allow me to hang the bags from a door knob or a wall hook.

My least favorite were the scented bags. I do like the idea of a bag that hides the smell of the contents, especially since we now have only one trash pick up a week here in hot South Texas. However, I have asthma that is often set off by perfumes and scent applied to these bags was no exception.

I will definitely buy the ForceFlex bags and the tall kitchen can bags. I will buy the recycling and compostable bags periodically as I have a need for them. I will not buy the scented bags, however.

BTW, my son loved the yoyo!

I am really enjoying the Febreeze scent! Each time I open the broom closet I get a gentle waft of perfume instead of stinky trash! I really appreciate that, each time I open that door!

I love how strong the red straps are...the cheap stuff always rips the ribbon out of the top of the bag when there's any kind of weight to the trash. My husband takes our trash out every morning. He takes it to work with him and puts it in the dumpster behind the office. He wears dress clothes and HATES to get a dribble of something stinky on his nice clothes, OR in his pretty company truck. He likes the new bags that showed up this week too.

I love the ruffles in the texture...I can stuff something big in the bag and those ruffles sort of 'stretch' rather than splitting the bag. That's REALLY cool! Saves money in the long run, because I don't end up rewrapping the trash with layers of cheap trash bags.

Thank you VERY MUCH for the care package! We are thoroughly enjoying everything in it! :)

My favorite out of the ones they sent are the ones scented with febreeze. I have never tried them before. I also really like the force flex. Got my package on Saturday and started using them right away :) I was so surprised at the selection. I am excited to use the recycling ones. Our township just recently started recycling and we can now keep it neat and organized. It makes it easier to teach our daughter also, love them. I never knew they had recycling bags, guess I needed to get in the loop :)

Thanks COM and Glad for the amazing collection of trash bags! First of all I had no idea Glad made that many options of trash bags, I shouldn't be surprised though since Glad already has a great name and brand for itself. I love the idea of using the recycling bags. I was using a brown grocery bag which didn't give much room for our recycling. I don't compost, partly because my city does not offer compost pick up. As for the trash bags, I was pleasantly surprised when I smelled the Febreze trash bags and they were not too overbearing and also that 3 days later when you open the cabinet door to my trash can you can still smell the febreze scent. I really like the quality and strength of the bags as I have to carry my trash about 100 yards to the dumpster so my floors can appreciate not getting drips all over them! Thanks again COM and Glad, I will continue to be a satisfied customer.

Yeah, I got my bags today! I love the forceflex bags. My 7 year old takes the trash out, and these don't rip open when he drags them on the grass. I can't wait to try all the others!

I recieved the bags yesterday and was surprised by the selection that was given to me, not to include the free t-shirt and yo-yo. Aside from the fantastic Febreeze garbage bags-who knew your garbage could actually smell decent?!and the trash bags made with less plastic-brillant!, I really like the decompostable bags. I am always saving scraps, mainly for my in-laws pig to help them feed it, but also for my own compost. The bags make it easier to handle the scraps. Thank you, the products are fantastic!!

I received my Glad trash bags and was pleasantly surprised by the options. I love the recycle bags as my family can fill up a small trash bag a day and this definitely helps keep it tidy and super quick to grab and take out on our way out of the house. I also love the force flex. Never knew you could shove so much into a trash can and not have the bag ripped. I will be recommending these products to all my friends.

@Jennifer Sampsel: we shipped your package out last week and FedEx tracking shows your delivery scheduled for Friday (tomorrow), so keep a look out. You should have also received a few emails updating you on the process from Jennifer on our team, not chain letters. Please let her know what type of chain letters you're getting if they look like they're coming from Circle of Moms so we can troubleshoot.
