I absolutely hate cleaning the shower/bathtub. The rest of the bathroom is fine. The tub gets me every time. It is so large and we have the sliding doors that I have to bend over to clean, which hurts. This used to be one of my husbands only chores, but when I became a SAHM that kind of ended.
I like Green Works for all purpose cleaning. I still do like Lysol for my kitchen. I just don't want us all getting sick from some gunk on the counter. I like Nelly's Laundry Soda in the laundry and Borax or Oxi Clean for a booster when needed..

I actually just discovered an all natural cleaning product called Eco Fresh from a lady that came to my door, that works great on literally everything. Because its natural I can clean the kids, their toys, highchairs, pet, counters, glass, clothes I MEAN EVERYTHING...I just discovered this morning I can de-wrinkle my clothes with it too! The best part is I can spray as much as I want and not have to worry about spraying harmful chemicles into my house or on my family :) I got rid of every single toxic cleaner in my house and use this one product on everything.

I HATE LAUNDRY!!!! It never ends. At least when other things are clean they tend to stay clean for a bit. But not laundry. As soon as I have it all caught up... a diaper leaks or its the end of the day and well, the hamper is on the way to being full again.... it really sucks!!!!

I HATE cleaning the bathroom... I don't mind most of the bathroom, but cleaning the toilet always gives me the heebie jeebies.. Especially cleaning up the urine that's magically dripped down the toilet... It boggles me how men always seem to miss. I used to hate doing the dishes by hand because I would have to meticulously rinse them before putting them in dishwater. I hate to feel food floating around while I'm trying to wash dishes... But now that we have a dishwasher, it's no biggie.

I hate cleaning my boys bathroom. The toilet is nasty and toothpaste some how gets all over the sink, walls, door knob and cabinet. My fav cleaning products are scrubbing bubbles, lysol spray and pledge furniture polish.

I hate cleaning the oven, it can take up to a couple of hours. Another task that I dread doing is cleaning up the patio area, it such a big area, that by the time I finished, I nagged!!

Cleaning the oven!! the cleaner for that is awful and burns my throat!! My favorite cleaning tool is my new shark toys :) the steam mop and vacuum i love them!!

i would have to say, cleaning the pee on toilet and floor from my sons (4 & 8) are the biggest pet peeves...as for supplies, i've started using Dr. Bronners sulfate free castille soap for laundry and cleaning....other than that, i use bleach in water bottle or vinegar )
also, for some of us who need a little extra help...

If you have kids and pets did you know clorox, lysol and pinesol can hurt them in the long run. Try more natural products. Email if you are intrested in better, safer product for your home.

I hate doing the laundry... Its never ever ending.. and just when I think I've done it all the linen basket has another wash load in!.. I also hate cleaning my oven. Its so yucky.. because I leave it too long, I should do it after every use but I don't cos I hate it!

I'm with Ink Ette about the man hair all over the bathroom! The one chore I hate is cleaning our bathroom. The front bathroom always stays clean, but ours . . . my husband has hair everywhere! And it truly does stick to everything, so I have to use several sponges/towels. My favorite cleaning product at home is the white vinegar and baking soda, store bought - anything Lysol.

I do it all. I wash, I iron, I fold, I put away. I wash dishes, I even obsess on anything burned on the bottom of the pans. I keep my fridge spotless... can't stand little koolaid dribbles on the bottom! GRRR! I run about with the vacuum, I scrub toilets. I wash floors on my hands and knees with paper towels so I can SEE what needs to be picked up. I can't stand for the bottles in the shower to be facing the wrong way. They should face OUT... so you can see 'shampoo' or 'conditioner'. I make beds daily. I move heavy appliances and scrub the floor under them. I scrub the walls around them. I open my furnace filter door and vacuum every inch in sight. I even clean the car. I bleach and scrub the porch with a broom.
The one and ONLY chore I can NOT stand is MAN HAIR ON THE BATHROOM SINK!
He stands over the sink looking in the mirror with the scissors and cuts these little annoying hairs. They stick to anything wet... they are in the cracks around the edges.. they are under the knobs... they are in/around/under every bottle IN the bathroom. You wipe them with a wet cloth and they stick. TO EVERYTHING.
Right here.. Right now... I declare, my next husband is going to be HAIRLESS.

I'm not too bad with cleaning, although it's not exactly my idea of fun, but on the wider housework front I hate ironing!

I hate it so much I will do just about anything to avoid it- buy the kids clothes that I think won't crease, hang shirts in the bathroom to steam out the creases, hang clothes to dry as flat as possible, anything!

My mum looked at the party dress that I bought my daughter for her birthday and said "I know you are going to hate me for saying this, but that is really going to need ironing! Come on then, while you pick the kids up from playschool I'll iron it for you". A nice offer, the problem was that it was so long since I had done any ironing I couldn't find the iron or ironing board!

Hum well I hate the bathroom. I have found its much easier now that I have Krud Kutter (sp?) I love that stuff. Also the mister clean eraser. You can also keep a clean toilet brush to use to clean the walls of your shower. Helps with the bending and stretching.

I hate the floor, but my mom has a shark steam mop and as soon as I have the money I will have one. So much easier than any other way to clean the floor. We used it to clean condos one summer and I fell in love.

DISHES!!!!! I cannot stand them! I'm sure if i would just do them every night so they don't build up it wouldn't be so bad but i tend to put it off... until we run completely out of clean dishes lol my boyfriend got me a dishwasher but hasn't hooked it up. And we don't have hot water so I have boil water everytime we do dishes or bathe so it takes forever! And this is going to sound stuck up and prissy but I have long natural nails and the dish water makes them flimbsy and my hands wrinkly lol

The best cleaning supplies I've found is TotalyAwesome! (thats the name of it) It's $1 a bottle at Dollar General and works.. well, totaly awesome. It's ALL-purpose. They are great when you have small kids around because they don't use flame and don't get hot enough to burn you. My son has tipped it over on himself a few times and no problem.

my least favorite thing about cleaning is washing the silver ware. the actual dishes doesnt bother me unless they are really nasty, but the silver ware drives me nuts. it seems like theres always double the amount of silver ware as there is actual dishes, and they are so small and take more time than the rest of the larger dishes put together.
and when it comes to cleaning stuff, i love bleach, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. i like pinesol, but i dillute it with water. and febreeze, that stuff is amazing. and theres nothing to make the house feel cleaner than a wonderful smelling potpourri burning in the kitchen or living room :)

refridge is up there lol.. i haatttee dusting but i have to do it often cuz my boy has excema so hes super sensitive.. and for some reason, emptying the dishwasher which only takes maybe 5 min i really hate that too!! floors.. ughh .. someday i hope to hire someone to clean my floors..ooops thats like 5 things i dislike

I hate puting washing away. I'll wash it, hang it, iron it, but I hate puting everything away.



As for gross, I would say, hmmm, yeah, pulling gunky hair out of the drain, ick.



I cleaned my (not overly filthy) oven the other day by rubbing a cut lemon over it then sprinkling it with bi-carb soda then scrubbing it. That felt very carbon neutral of me.



Fave cleaning supply, other than bi-carb and lemons and vinegar is a product called Method Bath and Tile. Method is this skin friendly brand, and the product is VERY good and makes my bathroom smell lovely afterwards too. I love it and tell everyone about it whenever I can. It makes cleaning the bath very quick and easy. It has replaced my Gumption.



We're puting in a whole new bathroom soon, and am looking forward to starting from very clean again. Lovely white tiles, and a separate shower (yay!) We did our kitchen two years ago, and I still like to get my stove top and sink back to new looking each day.



I also love my backpack vacuum, so I don't have to drag one around everywhere, bashing my ankles anymore, and it's quieter, and I put a few drops of essential oil (mandarin this week) on the dust bag, so the housesmells nice after I vacuum.



It's getting colder here, so I like washing up in the mornings now, to warm my cold froggy hands up.

All of it, but I'm kind of obsessive about it so it all has to be done a certain way to a certain level and so it really never seems to end. Could just be the pregnancy hormones talking though.

I do find doing the dishes to be oddly soothing.

I loathe doing dishes! I don't know why. We have nice dishcloths and wonderful detergent, but I hate washing dishes for some reason. I love cleaning the floors. We have real wood floors and I love to sweep and polish them. I also love to take Lysol wipes and just wipe down all doorknobs, lightswitch covers, phones, keyboards, etc. I also love the smell of bleach, so my bathrooms and kitchen get mopped with it.

Honestly the thing that I hate hate hate to do is dust. I have more than 200 little elephant figurines on the top 3 shelves of 3 bookcases. (It really doesn't look like that many when you look at them) Anyways it always takes forever for me to dust those 3 bookshelves. This is going to sound really lazy but when it is time for it to be done, I usually call a friend of mines daughter. She is always looking to earn some extra money.

The chores I can't stand most are putting the laundry away and unloading the dishwasher. As said before in other posts, they are both never ending. What am I gonna do though. I put the laundry away once a week when all the kids are gone or busy. The dishwasher doesn't take so long so I just bite the bullet and do it. In reality it doesn't take too long.
My favorite cleaning tool is my new Hoover Lynx cordless vacuum. It was costly, $170 but it was really worth it. I use it multiple times a day. I picks up just about everything on the tile floor and carpets. My other useful tool is Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or the generic ones. My girls like to draw and write a lot and get pen and marker, sometimes even Sharpie pens and the eraser takes it right off the table, walls whatever. The only other tip I have is to have lots of wipes stashed around the house, clorax or lysol and then baby wipes. Baby wipes get just wabout anything out too. Good Luck

I hate hanging clothes, I'm ok with folding. I despise hanging. And I really hate weeding the gardens. We have a huge vegetable garden and 3 big flower gardens. I love my flowers, but the weeding is gross. The bugs are gross and my son always "helps" which means I get dirt in my eyes from his crazy flinging.

Casey- I didn't know cat pee was worse, I'm so sorry! I wish I could get rid of these dumb dogs but apparently, the choice is up to my husband for some reason. lol Oh well.. :) I didn't know you could use dish detergent as an all purpose cleaner- that's a great tip! Thanks!

To Valerie - I can feel your pain about the dog, but we have it worse...cat pee!! I can't stand it. We have mostly wood/tile flooring, but for some reason my cat (14 years) has picked the corner of carpet near our bedroom to pee. It freaking stinks. I have used everything, but I think it is soaked in to the cement if that is possible. My husband is like, tip it up and kill the cat. I am not sure what has gotten into her, but she is close to her 9th life. ha!

Everyone else...Laundry and Dishes is up there. They aren't in the gross area, but defiantly in the can't stand to do it because it never goes away. You never can see your progress. Well, at least long term.

I LOVE Lysol too! I am cheap most of the time and have to result to vinager and lemon juice. I also put a little liquid dish detergent in there and forms an all purpose cleaner. Ity works great and smells clean. I found it on www.tipnut.com. Great website.

lol! So many to choose from.... Well, I am like OCD when it comes to organization, which is the opposite of what my house is and it drives me nuts because its all my husbands stuff!!! But, what I really hate is cleaning up after our two dogs. We have pugs and one of them likes to mark his territory, which includes peeing on the leg of our coffee table (luckily we have wood floors). They don't do it so much anymore, but holy cow I hate those dogs!!!!
Oh, and I also hate putting the laundry away and doing the dishes, it is never ending! lol

Floors. I HATE doing floors--Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming specifically--because I suck at doing them. When I sweep, crud goes everywhere except the dust pan. When I mop, I end up with gobs of gooey grossness because I can't sweep. And vacuuming is just annoying--it's heavy and I hate lugging it around the house, then doubling back to the outlet, getting the wire wrapped around EVERYTHING!!! I constantly have the hose thingy twisted the wrong way and have to literally fight with it to make it go the direction I want. I HATE getting down on the floor to go under beds, dressers and desks. I ALWAYS suck up my husband's shoelace attached to a boot hanging over the basket. It's loud so it drowns out my music. My son and dog both hate it too--the dog howls the whole time and the boy stands there screaming at the dog. I could name a few more reasons, but I think I've go on long enough. Thanks for the vent!

My favorite cleaning supply is EndDust. I love the smell and look of freshly polished wood. I dust a lot.

toilets....ugh gross! Bleach is all I use for it! I also hate to clean my daughters toys....but those are easy no batteries then they go in the tub and get showered off or in the dishwasher! Stuff animals and dolls get the washing machine and battery toys get a good scrub with wipes

I love green works for dusting off desks and coffee tables and end tables in the living room.
I love Lysol for the kitchen and the bathroom because it kills 99.9% of germs.
I also love the lysol spray for handles and light switches and keyboards, etc.
This isn't a dirty job, but I hate it non the less - Putting laundry away.
Hate it Hate it Hate it. How a family of 3 has so much laundry I'll never know. And we don't have space. We are still living in a one bedroom apartment, we are on a waiting list for renting a house so we're waiting on that. And in the meantime we have a dresser each cramped in one room. And we have more clothes than our dressers will hold and our closet is so full. It's ridiculous.
I get through it by putting on music and dancing around the room while putting everything away. Still hate it! lol

Great question! I would have to say I have 2 things I hate to do above all else. Cleaning the bathroom, not just some of it all of it, and sweeping and mopping floors....as far as i'm concerned those are the 2 worst chores EVER!
