i go to the early years programs and we also live in a really small town....look it up on the net and they are free to from kids ages 0-6 so thats great too....

Hello, depressed & bored to tears... one thing I did when my 3 children were young I did yoga after the kids went to bed or even a nice hot caddle light bubble bath that's how what I did me & only for me........I hope this is some comfort to you!

I'm new face book at this welcome, and hopefully we can chat sometime and help or just let things out..........My name is Jeanne I have 3 children my older son Sylvain is 19 years old with Twins Matthieu (ADHD) & Natalie will turning 17 years old on the 3rd of March. I'm a single mom over 40 will be 45 this coming May, and I'm really looking forward of being part of the mom’s team and hopefully we can learn and all grow together to become a better person. I was battling chronic depression + anxiety for over 15 years and now I have Fibromyalgia wow this major work for me to be a stay home mom, and sick...... Keep in touch & take care! Yes it's tough but I wouldn't change it or change them for the world!

Contact your son's teacher and see if there are projects or busy work that you can do for him/her at home. I know your time is limited but you'll feel better when you see a new project completed. I used to staple together books for my son's teacher when my girls were little! Now I bring home coloring to do for my youngest child's teacher

I like to bake, and when I am bored during the winter months I teach my son how to cook. I find ways for him to be involved. He loves to cook with me now. He also loves it when we cook and turn on the music and dance around the house. It is good excercise too! Also if you are artistic in any way, an art project is great for stress releaving.

You are doing the most important job that anyone ever did, even though you don't feel that way because people dont give you enough credit. Have you thought about starting a daycare from home? You could still be with your kids but would maybe benefit from having some sort of a timetable of activities for the week instead of just sitting in front of the telly- which i know from experience only makes things seem worse.

I must say you are amazing for having the pride to at least admit it is hard, alot of moms continue on going this way, and eventually go down the wrong road. My advice, CRAYONS!! colouring is a wonderful pass-time, or another idea is to find something they can all do and enjoy together, and one at a time, take one aside and do something they as individuals like to do. My daughter is 2 1/2 and especially in the winter, i am bored to tears as well, my husband works long hours and is rarely home unless to sleep as he does snow removal, but the great thing about this time of year is we dont necessarily like it, but kids love the snow, send them out, grab a chair and sit in the doorway and watch!!.. but other than that, unplug the tv for a day and tell them it is broken, and as your 2 & 4 yr old are obviously alot more expressive ask them what they want to do, and include the younger one. After having my 3rd son, I couldn't bare to leave him to go back to work! In addition my 2 older boys were now both in school abd I too wanted to be one of those moms that were there to pick up her kids! Lucky for me I found out about CruiseMoms. Hi. I started staying at home with my 10 month old baby right after she was born. Most days I really enjoy it. But some days are super hard because there is always so much to do. Sometimes I think it would be so much easier to just leave and go to work all day but then I think I couldn't imagine someone else raising my baby..and teaching her their values instead of mine. You are an amazing woman for raising your children...all four of them wow! Do you attend church at all? Thats an awesome way to connect with other people. Most communities even small ones have a group called, MOPS, mothers of pre schoolers...it's where a bunch of moms get together 2x a month and talk and eat and do activities...you should go online and check it out to find one in your area! Hope this helps!

It will get better. I was bored to tears and wanted to do something to contibute. I went to a lia sophia jewelry party. Now I sell it. It is great you make you own hours. You just have to force yourself to network. Talk to everyone. Even your cashier at the grocery store. It has helped me get out of my depression.
