of course all babies get diaper rash once in a while, but i was just curious what other moms think about all the different kinds of creams out there. what are your suggestions and thoughts on the best diaper rash cream and what brand do you suggest?

I have tried a few, but the Desitin in the purple tube does the trick the fastest. :)

Only cortizone works on william. He has really bad skin like his dad and his grancie said thats what worked best on daddy so thats what we use on william. Also when he gets really bad I use wet paper towels instead of wipies to clean him up. Apparently the regular wipies sting really badly.

Corn flour was the only thing that helped my daughter with her diaper rash and also changing the brand of nappies :)

I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. With the really acidy poo, that causes more of the diaper rash burn, I have actually called their Doctor and he prescribes them a compound of Aquaphor, Clotrimazole and Hydrocortizone. This stuff works wonders! I didn't find anything that worked very fast that you could buy over the counter.

I just use plain zinc oxide ointment without fragrance, works like a charm for my kids and it can be found in the same section as the other diaper rash creams. I've also found that it's cheaper than many of the other creams.
