Do you seem to forget things more after baby than prebaby??

My husband will say he told me something and either I forgot what he said or I really dont think he told me. There are times he will say "I told you such and such.." and I know he never did and he will make me feel like I am just forgetful. There are times I do forget though..It has gotten worse since I have had my 10 month old!!

Hmm.. I'm not usually forgetful. For sure sleep deprivation and kids keeping you busy all the time can cause your mind to slip. You should get a little agenda and keep yourself organized better for events, chores, bills etc.. that should help you remember better.

I have never gotten my full memory back. I thought I was forgetful and seemed to have gotten a bit less intelligent while pregnant with my first daughter. Most of my reasoning abilities were fully restored but then I had to go and have another one! My youngest is 15 months, my oldest is 5, and I am more forgetful and dumber than ever!! If I don't write it down when I think about it, or say it the instant it pops into my head, I will never recall it! So pregnancy brain becomes mommy brain. I'm scared to death to have a third one (would only happen accidental after the second, considering how mean and hard she is!) because then I won't know anything!! I'll have to make my family wear name tags!

Yes, it can take, if I remember right, about 1yr or more for your hormones to get back to normal, if they ever really do!

I still forget things and my son is 2. My brain gets cluttered with what is for snack, dinner, laundry, cleaning, etc. We just have a lot to think about. My husband does the same thing. I just try to write everything down and if I forget to do it, I will do it the next day. Don't be so hard on yourself.
