Well if you have Firefox they have a add on called Kidzui. My son, who is five, loved to play on it. He is a website we went to help teach our children ABC's, colors & shapes. Hope they help.

If you are willing to buy software, my kids have all LOVED Reader Rabbit - it teaches them mouse skills and is very interactive - if I remember, it wasn't expensive at all and totally worth it - good luck!

To make it easier, btw, add links in the link bar on Internet explorer. I forgot playhousedisney.com too.

Starfall.com - pre reading exercises. My son is at four on about a 2nd grade reading level, and I credit this website with part of that. Also, the standbys, pbskids.org, nickjr.com (formarly noggin.com), the PBS Sprout website, and I'm sure there are others I can't think of right now.

My daughter loves Sesame Street - especially Chicken Elmo and the Season Game with Zoe - they don't require too much mouse control but are fun! Another fav is Elmo brushing his teeth.

My son just turned 3 yrs old and he really enjoys sesamestreet.org. They have lots of games for toddlers and video clips as well. We have this set as our home page so he can get into it all by himself. (He's been able to turn on the computer by himself for at least a year now!) Another website he enjoys is starfall.com. It teaches letter sounds and reading and has fun activities like creating a calendar, seasonal activities, etc.- a great website for toddlers and early readers. I homeschooled my two older children (now in their first year of college) and wish I would have had this resource available then!

The best site that i have found for my children 2 & 4 is treehouse tv. There are games, stories, lots of printer friendly pictures for colouring and puzzles. Also Hamilton, Ontario public library has tumblebooks on their website. It is stories on the computer. There is a lot of Robert Munch books. My kids love it. Check your local library website. Hope that helps.

I agree with pbskids.org...my 4 year old has been on that site for the last 2 years. If you want fun easy games with a Christian spin on them go to www.jellytelly.com all you have to do is register and you can access shows online and a bunch of fun games. Have fun!

Www.kneebouncers.com.....if he's a beginner as far as shapes, colors, etc. I love this site even though my little one is familiar with all her basics but you can leave them at the cpu and not worry about them hitting the wrong key and crashing the cpu or whatevr...every key activates something on the website....there is no wrong button and she still loves it!

As for free sites, my daughter mostly plays PBSkids.org and mylittlepony.com. Wildearth.tv has good videos of animals and she likes youtube (but I have to monitor where that goes). If you can download jumpstart (to kindergarten) do that, but purchasing the game is also worth it.

If you try to go on Kidzui.com, they can set up an account for your child with a password & they have prescreened websites just for kids including: nick & nickjr, playhousedisney, pbskids.go, & many others. Plus they have a parent connect where you can chart their learning & see what they are doing. It is AWESOME!
