I find that after having my children, aged 2 and 6 months, that I cry over EVERYTHING! It is getting ridiculous! I even cried at an episode of Desperate Housewives the other day! I hate it and I think my husband is beginning to think I should seek professional help! :) I used to cry over the odd sad movie but now I literally cry at the drop of a hat! VERY frustrating! Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

My son is almost 6 and I will cry at random commercials (not even cute ones) and musical performances on tv. I know some of you say it's PPD, but I'm totally happy and optimistic etc. Others say I'm fine, it's normal, but even my mother thinks I'm over-emotional! There's got to be a fix! I don't like being like this!

I get much more emotional now! I am so tired at night I welcome bath and bed time but then I realize I'm wishing my time with him away and then that makes me upset.

i have been crying for 5 years straight. since i became pregnant w/our 4 yr old. i cry at commercials, shows, movies, stories. the Disney movies suck - i cry at the fairy tale endings, i have to leave the room or be sure my 4 yr old doesn't hear me sniffle if we're in the car and there's a movie in the DVD, "why are you sad, mama?" tell your husband, you are just fine.

it goes away. You're body can be a bit wonky for a while after a baby. They told me that both times at the hospital. i'm not an emotional person. I don't deal well with crying and whining and being pissy. I do even worse when I'm the one doing it. It passes. It can sometimes take a year or more to get yourself back to "normal"

Yes. It's so annoying. I cry when I see other people with no kids who look good. And I cannot watch certain movies.

Oh yes! I think it is normal though. My husband has also gone on this emotional roller-coaster with me though. He's just as emotional as i am now that we have had our son. He is 2 and i think you just have so much love inside you now that it leaks out sometimes. ^_^ If you feel as though it is not normal talk with your doc. Best wishes.

All the time! I cry/tear up over the smallest things. I think it's just a mommy thing and will go away as our kiddos get older. My guys are 3 and 1. Just embrace the sensitivities of life!

Yep! I even cry at Disney stuff, even if it's just a song. Go see your Doc cause it could be PPD. I've had some big mood changes with it, like euphoric one minute and then sobbing my heart out over nothing the next. My Doc told me to eat 6 small, low sugar meals a day, get outside and start regular exercise again. It's helped loads. :)

For a little while before and after my son was born I was like that about everything, but now I'm sort of back to normal, except when it comes to sad stories about families or kids in danger. Cue the waterworks!

I did after my second. You may have post -partum depression. Your husband is right. Call your doctor and make an appointment. I cried and had mood swings all the time. I was very depressed, they put me on Paxil and it help tremendously.
