Hi! My name is Cindi and I'm new to the group. I have 2 boys, Eli (2 yr.) and Archie (2 mo.). I was just looking for advice and recommendations on double strollers. In the summer, I am an avid walker and looking for a stroller that gets around pretty smoothly. Any help would be most appreciated :) Thank you!

I misunderstood the question at first.... My double stroller is the Schwinn double jogger. Just make sure the front wheel swivels. I bought one from a consignment shop at first that the front wheel didn't swivel. Turning was agony! So, I took it back and ordered the Schwinn on ebay. Best wishes.

I have a 3yr old & 11mo old. I use a double jogging stroller for outdoor events, exercise, etc. And I use the BabyTrend sit and stand LX for shopping, etc. When my oldest was 2, I used the carriage-type seat in the back, now that he's older I converted it into a sit and stand. He sits, and I seatbelt him on. I honestly couldn't live without either stroller.

Hi Cindi~ Are you a bike rider also? If so, go to Walmart and buy the convertible stroller that you can also pull with your bike. It is much more compact than most 2x's I have ever seen. Folds very nicely and travels very well! We have a 2x and it is so heavy and bulky, you can't take it in the care with you.

Hi

I have the Kolcraft Contours and absolutely love it.  It wheels very smooth and feels lighter when manuevering than any other double I tried.  The seats can be removed and repositioned in a number of different ways, On the downside its heavier than the Graco when lifting it into the car.  But you can remove the seats to make it lighter.I'm very small (5 feet) and I don't have a problem-took a little getting used to.  I use it primarily for walking and it just glides when you push it.  Very Very Smooth ride.

I also have a 2yr old and a 2month old and for me I absolutely love me Graco Quattro Tour Duo Double Stroller. I love the handles and the way it folds with only one hand and opens the same too. It moves around very smoothly and for us was a perfect pick.

I use a "tandem stroller" called the Sit-n-Stand LX.  I like it, because it is narrow and I can use it in stores, and also it does not take up the entire sidewalk when I go out.  The older child has the option to sit, facing you, or stand, facing out.  The only thing I don't like is that there is no sun shade for the older child.

I have three kids and I'm pregnant with our fourth. So far I only have one cheap-o umbrella stroller, which usually holds stuff instead of kids. I have convinced my husband that with 4 kids 4 and under, I'll need a double stroller and I'm currently looking at the sit-n-stand type strollers because that makes the most sense for our family. Joovy is coming out with a brand new stroller this year that may be the one I end up getting. It's not even listed on their website yet, but you can find it if you google Joovy Ergo Caboose.

If you're going to be walking/jogging a lot with it. I'd probably go for a good side-by-side jogging type stroller. Personally, I don't walk or jog and I need a stroller to fit in my car for trips to the mall, etc.

I also have the side by side with 3 wheels.. the one from toys r us cuz it is the least expensive..my frontt tire swivels and locks. we go kiking in the bush and thru farmers fields...love it!!! but the kids do pick on each other. (I have twins) and one time I figured one was just fussy,,but when I looked, her twin sister was biting on her toe,... it was funny, but sad!! the tandem strollers, they can still reach and pull hair, but I find them very hard on the back to push around and they dont turn well..

hey

im a mom of 3 boys! they are soon to be 5 yrs, 4 yrs and the newest one is 7 months old. i have used almost every kind of stroller out there. i have went through 2 double strollers different kind. and i will not give up my side by side one with the the bike tires on it.  yes it is big and bulky but you get use to it fast. i dont have a car so i walk everywhere and this is the only one that has lasted. i walk through the rain, snow, grass, gravel anything and everywhere. plus im still using it with my baby and middle son..i would pick up one like this and maybe a smaller umbrella one for the mall, since its kinda big to fit in most stores. but i wouldnt change it for any other stroller. oh and the front wheel is not the swivel (hat the swivels)  hope this has helped somewhat.

take both boys to the store when you buy it to try it out..although it wont be exactly like outside, you will get a bit of an idea how you will like it. and the front and back strollers i never liked since once the kids get bigger they will  lean over the sides and it gets hard to push..
