My Son Has Had His Right Eye Filled With Goobers For About 3 Days Now. It Looked Like It Was Getting Better Yesterday, But Then This Morning His Eye Was Goobered Shut. I Wiped It Off With A Warm Wet Rag & He Can Open It Again. But My Question Is: What Can I Do To Make This Go Away & What's Causing It? Short Of This, The Next Step Is Taking Him To His Doctor. Thanks For Taking The Time To Read This.

Keep washing it like you're doing. The problem could be anything from an allergy to a minor eye infection. If the goobers are a normal color like when you have sleep in the corner of your eye, it probably isn't an infection...or at least not one that needs medicine. If the goobers are yellow, green, or other strange color, he should be checked out by a doctor. It could be pink eye, but that usually includes the eye being red or pink and the crusty stuff.

If it seems like allergies to something inside or outside, go to your nearby pharmacy, and speak with the pharmacist on what would be the best thing to give. I have so little experience with allergies, the only thing I know of is Benadryl, but a pharmacist would know much more on the subject.
