Hi Everyone,

This is just to let you all know that if you post solicitations on this page you WILL be removed. We don't allow solicitaions at all. This includes:

* Posting your personal blogs or website links/addresses

*Telling others to PM you for more information about what you do.

*Posting codes for free giveaways.

*Asking for votes in a competition.

Please refrain from starting posts about work from home opportunities/jobs as it just encourages others to post solicitations. There are work from home communities within COM that you can get all this information from.

Michelle,

SAHM Admin.

Not allowing moms to share their blog posts limits creative interactions. I actually enjoy reading blogs that share a story, a strategy, or humorous and inspirational perspectives. I can certainly understand not posting work at home advertisements. Not sure this is the place for me. What I've read so far does not seem helpful. What if a parent would benefit from a link to an informational website that could help them resolve their concerns? Sure wish I could be more helpful and share resources. Perhaps there's another venue out there for that.
Sincerely,
M.Rodriguez, Mom of Three

Talking about what you is different from soliciting. I am talking about the posts that promote the work from home opportunity with how much the start up costs are and contact me for more information. Also putting your website address on the bottom of your posts is soliciting.

The work from home communities can be found by hovering over the "My communities" tab at the top and clicking on "All communities". You can then search by alphabetical order and down the bottom click on W.

Yep it was me. Oops. I thought I was on the working from home community and asked a question. I really didn't mean to post to the wrong community. I use my phone and I kept getting kicked out when I tried to post. The one time it post without a problem happened to be to the wrong community. Sorry

If someone specifically posts a question about information on working from home...How do you want us to respond.....can we direct them to a specific community. Just want to respect your wish. Thanks!

There are blogging communities as well as work from home communities. It's best to search for the communities that suit you on this site.

This is helpful because I can almost guarantee I would have violated this innocently. I have pretty much every picture I have ever taken online and it is way easier to share a link than upload a photo. But I can see how it is a slippery slope. I have my own business and I can honestly say I have never even thought to come to a place like this to try to drum up business. I cant see it actually working - all the time to come and build a reputation, give thoughtful answers to questions etc etc, just for a plug that will probably go ignored? There are lots of great sites that tell you exactly how to start your own business or advertise one you have, and I have never seen any suggest anything like that! I sort of assume that people who would do that muct be part of a scam or something so AVOID!

How is posting your website soliciting? I have a blog and usually put the address in my signature of many forums, those who want to check it out do, those who don't... Don't

My blog is personal stuff, not professional. When I decide to include my business it will only be a static front page link to another site altogether.

Well in the school that my children go to we have to supply liquid soap, paper towels and tissues at the beginning of each school year. Maybe bring it up with your school to put it on the booklist.

Yes, I'm in Perth as well.

This is an international site for women to get advice and support so I don't think the management will approve of your recruitment drive on here.

I see it says not to pm for info about what you do, but can we talk about what we do if we work at home, or out of our home, just for conversation sake? Like, "what do you do? I'm a candle maker. How do you do that?" and so on. I don't want to end up talking about that, if it's along the same lines. I don't have other mothers to talk to, so I'd like to keep my account LOL
