when did you transition your babies from formula to cow's milk? how did you do it?

i have seen some advice where you gradually add milk to the formula bottle over the course of a week or two until it is mostly milk but that seems very time consuming even if safe and easy

what did everyone do?

oh yea i forgot to add. You might want to warm the milk a bit. Babies get warm milk and over a few weeks just dont warm it as much. Cold milk can be a suprise to a babies system and cause them to not like it.

When my daughter was a little over a year she wouldn't take the breast any more, so I started giving her warm organic cow's milk. She took pretty well but if the milk wasn't warm she wouldn't drink it!

I weaned from breast to cows milk gradually from about 10months, dropping one feed and replacing it with milk in a sippy cup, so that at about 1yr both my children were weaned from the breast and drinking cows milk. Some of my friends found it difficult to get their kids to take cows milk and so did numerous mixes (soy & cows, or formula & cows) to get them used to it. I'd try cows milk straight up for at least a few days to see how your bub goes, don't expect them to take it perfectly the first time, then try other options if you need to.

When she turned one and the dr gave us the go ahead, I just put cows (whole) milk in her bottle and she didn't have any problem. As long it was in her bottle she didn't care. Just pour milk in there and she will drink it!
