Going back to school

I have been toying with the idea of going back to school for a long time now. My kids are 4, 2 and 7 months. I have started working out and looked into police academies. My husband is totally supportive of my choice, and has offered to work till I'm done with school then he will stay home with the kids. I'm scared. I've been home for 5 yrs now and I am not sure how I will feel being away from my kids even when they drive me nuts. I know it will really help our family in the long run, but should I do it...switch places with my husband? Would you do it if you had a once in a lifetime chance to do what you have always wanted to do?

Thanks girls! i have been a housewife/SAHM for so long and i know there will be days when i miss it. (Not saying I need a challenge in life because this "job" is a challenge in its self), but I need something that will help with our future. I have 7 weeks to get in shape....AHH pre-baby was so looooooooooong ago lol

Go for it!! I am in the same situation, I am back in school and loving every min of it. I am going for surgical tech the program is intense but well worth it. ! Goood luck!

Well evening classes are even better. You can see your kids during the day :)

The academy is 2 yrs, and its evening classes. He is very supportive, and also we would then have wonderful insurance and health plan. Thanks for the support. I'm hoping it helps with self-esteem and self worth.

Absolutely! It's only a few years right? I mean the academy. If he is supportive that's even better. As a mom there are certain things you have to do and if it helps in the long run it's worth it.

I was a SAHM for 2 years before going back to work and it's helped me tremendously with my self-esteem and self-worth.
I say go for it!!!
