My daughter ( she truned 2 in June) Iam scared of putting her on the toilet at like say wal-mart because I dont know what has and hasn't been on those toilett, but when she has to go she has to go. Would a baby wipe 'clean' it up enough for my 2 year old?

Most public restrooms around here have free disposable liners to put on the seat, I would not trust baby wipes to kill some of the germs out there, but they do make antibacterial wipes that might work better.

If you are that concerned you can buy a portable potty that folds up compact. They also have liners so all you have to do is lift it out and flush it down the toilet. I believe they sell them at walmart but its been a while since i have potty trained!

I have heard also that the seat is much cleaner than we think but that can't stop me from envisioning all the butts that sit on it through out the day... I keep a pack of "Wet-Ones" in my purse, son's diaper bag and glove box! When my son was first learning real, solid foods, I wiped off EVERY table we sat at with an antibacterial wipe. He had a habit of taking everything off his plate, putting it on the table and then eating it.

If you're still worried about it though, you can keep a pack of antibacterial wipes with you and use that before she sits. I look forward to the day my son learns to use the toilet while standing! LOL. I can be such a germaphobe sometimes!

I like Candy's idea. They also have the covers that can be used too. I don't blame you for your worry at all! But I have heard that the seats aren't as bad as people thing. Especially the first stall because people don't like to use it. Best of luck!

They say the pot is cleaner then the door handle. They do sale a small pick of anti bac. whips at the registers. You could just keep that in your purse or diaper bag.
