thanks alot for ur help,only moms can better understand my position.ill keep trying till i get my second one,n keep my fingers crossed,doctor gave me glucophage thts wat im going to take from now on lets see n hope for the best ..

I have not been diagnosed officially with PCOS. I have always had an irregular cycle. I conceived my first child in about a month of trying. My diabetes doctor credited it to being on NutriSystem, since it deals with the low-glycemic index and gets your insulin in line. I had gestational diabetes and now have type II. I am considering a second child and am back on NutriSystem to help with weight loss for the diabetes. PCOS and diabetes deal with/affect your insulin. I would suggest having a good talk with your doctor to ease your concerns.

My husband and I tried for about 7 years to conceive. I was diagnosed with PCOS about halfway into that, and tried various things including Clomid. Nothing worked, and my cycle was crazy. I finally went to a fertility specialist. I don't remember what the drugs were, but I had to give myself daily shots in the abdomen to make me ovulate and produce ripe eggs, then I had to give myself a shot of some other drug a day or two before I was artificially inseminated with my husband's sperm. My beautiful daughter is three years old now, and I also have an adopted son. I'm not sure I'd want to go through it again, but I'm not doing anything to prevent pregnancy if it happens on its own.

I had my daughter before i was diagnosed, but it does explain why it took over 2 years for us to concieve her. When i found out i had PCOS i asked my dr if i would be able to have more children and she simply said you already have 1 why worry!!! I as amazed that someone in her position could be so heartless. I have always wanted 4 children but will probably no stop at 2. We are going to start trying again in August. Best of luck :)

i have pcos and i am lucky enough to have 4 daughters. the first was before i was diagnosed then after 4 years of trying i got tested, after being referred to the hospital i was given clomid and 2 months later conceived my second daughter, my third came just 6 months later but i think that was from ust having a baby, my 4th was 4 years later and more clomid but i find every time i lose between 1-2 stone it works, the same for under weight people adding some weight has the same affect even when your cycle is around 2 periods a year like mine is. if you have had one baby i would say keep positive, keep on at the doctors and soon you will have another. good luck and all the best, x

I was diagnosed almost seven yrs ago. I was told we wouldn'y be able to have kids, sometimes I wouldn;t have a cycle for mths/! It can be very nerve racking, and slightly depressing. But then somthing crazy happened. After 5 yrs of using no protection at all, I had lost about 30 pds, we were pregnant! And now we have a beautiful baby boy! My advice stay calm, live your life normal, excersise daily if can, and God willing it will happen! Hope it does for you.

PCOS didnt stop me either and with no fertility treatment at all I have managed to fall pregnant 3 times.. My girl is nearly 3 and My Boy is 17 months, I also am 4 months pregnant :)

I was diagnosed with pcos and told that i might never have any children, my doc gave me clomid and 8 months later i was pregnant with my first child, a boy then when he was 8 months old i thought i would start trying for baby number 2 and just 1 month later i fell pregnant with not 1 but 2 little miracles a boy and a girl, 4 years later i fell with my 4th baby a boy while i was on the pill and then 3 years after that i fell pregnant with my 5th baby a girl while i was on the pill and using a condom!!! So dont worry to much sweetie i was told i would probably never have children and was blessed with 5 of them.. Good luck and God bless.
