Hates Tummy Time

Distractions, like everybody else suggested - mirrors and toys and colourful mats, and of course, your own face and silly songs :) My daughter used to hate it too, she is 5 months old now and constantly rolling on and off of her belly as she pleases. Eventually your daughter will learn to roll off of her belly if she doesn't like it so much.
You can also put her on your chest and lean back like in a reclining chair or something, that still counts and is probably a lot more comfortable than a hard floor!

Ya my son never liked tummy time either. I eventually gave up trying, i felt he had a strong enough neck. The funy thing was that i had one heck of a time getting him to go to sleep on his back! sleeping he always wanted to be on his tummy, :) They want them on their tummy's to help strengthen their neck and back muscles but try not to force it. You can try a mirror placed so she can play with herself, My son really liked that!

My kids didn't like Tummy Time either. Do you have a cute little tummy time mat? The only thing I suggest is to get down with her and play games like peek-a-boo, sing to her, etc.
Hope this helps a bit.

Don't stress about it!!! My daughter NEVER liked tummy time. But I still tried it every now and again but not until she was a few months old I think. She is 2 and a half now and she is fine. Just don't worry, put baby on her tummy for very short periods of time. She will either get used to it or hate it and learn to turn over, yay!

Some kids just don't like tummy time!!! My youngest daughter never liked being on her stomach to the point that she never did crawl. We tried and tried, but she would scream and hit her head on the floor so we just stopped forcing the issue. Instead of crawling she did a bum scoot. Now at 19 months she's walking and talking like every other child her age.

I have yet to meet a baby that likes time tummy before 3 or 4 months old. The only thing you can do is offer it. If she starts to cry then pick her up or flip her to her back. If you are worried about strengthening her back and neck muscles, she can do that up on your shoulder.
