I used to have a sign on my wall, it read: CLEANING THE HOUSE WHILE KIDS ARE STILL GROWING...IS LIKE SHOVLING THE WALK WHILE IT'S STILL SNOWING!

Yep, Such is life. I have 8 month old twins and a 4 year old and I started paying someone to come in and clean every couple weeks. I am able to keep up on basic things from day to day but I also work on the weekends so getting a deep clean when my husband is able to watch the kids doesn't work out. I still feel somewhat guilty about having someone help but it makes me feel better having a decent house. Maybe when my son is in school I will be able to keep up on things better. I certainly would rather spend time with my kids than clean my life away.

My 13 month old, Xavier, does the same thing. While I'm folding/putting away clothes he is taking them out of the drawers. This applies to any and all cleaning that I do. He always finds something to do close by and unfortunately it always makes my job much more difficult.

I hear you! My daughter is 21 months and can drive me crazy. When I go in one room to pick up she is destorying the other. I know my husband understands but I would love to have a clean house so we had more time together or just have a break ;) Naptime is just not long enough to clean and get a break!
