Mom to 3 boys who desperately needs some time off from her 24/7 job!!! Not fair that my holidays always include my kids. I seriously don't get any time off and I am frazzled!! I had 3 kids and stay at home WHY? lol

hey Liberty how many people have asked you if you want a girl?? lol what is with the obsession of having both sexes I wonder. Personally I am so used to boys I doubt I could handle a girl. Yell at boys they don't even flinch, look at a girl wrong she cries lmao! Yeah enough hormones in the house with mine ty I don't want a girl!

Boy I can relate. I have a 3 year old boy and a 9 month old girl. My husband surprised me in Aug with a 2 week vacation to FL, by myself with my two children. He stayed home for a week(vacation) and then joined us. And everyday he reminded me that I was on vacation and he was home working. I forgot to mention that I went visit my dad, who had triple bypass surgery, and was cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, food shopping, taking care of my children, and driving dad to Dr's, etc... That was some vacation...I love my children and love staying home with them but we all need a break. I go to my one of my sisters house's every friday and then my sisters and nieces take care of my kids and give me a break. I usually run to the store or bank and take some time by myself. If you can find someone to watch the kids and take a little time for yourself that should help. Also, one of my nieces will come over to watch the kids even if its to go grocery shopping alone. I know it sounds crazy but I consider that mommy time...

We are in cub scouts too. My husband and I are both leaders so the youngest comes to everything by default! LOL

Hey Liberty my boys are 10, 9 and 2! Yeah we had a "blessing" lol.

HAHA I had a weekend away from my 2 year old guess what it was? Camping with my 15 cubs, two of which are my sons!! Yeah I am a cub leader and after that my 2 year old had to come to the cub meetings with me because he wouldn't let me go. He saw my uniform and the babysitter and would freak! He cried the whole two hours the first week after that weekend! We kept trying and for 3 weeks he freaked and the babysitter would go home until finally he was ok again and knew Mommy would come back.

I've done that Jessie...1 yr old, 7 months pregnant, working 70 hour weeks doing personal care aide and hubby gone 4 months across country!!! So glad he no longer goes to Ontario for musical training in the military!!! I also did a summer with a 2 yr old a 6 month old alone with both of them going through separation anxiety. Gosh that was an experience!!!!

I so understand how you all feel! I have a two year old and finally got away for a weekend just this last week. It was an amazing two days not having to worry about anyone but myself. I'm not sure if vacations with kids should be considered vacations for the mom! Just a scenery change, which is also nice sometimes!

I know how u feel, believe me. Is there someone that can watch your kids for a couple of hours so that u can have some free time?

i ask the same question, I had the chance to go on vacation alone with my boyfriend but at the last minute he decided we needed to take the kids with us. A vacation with kids is not a vacation for the moms. It is hard work. Yes seeing your children experience new things is wonderful but so would having a couple kid free days.
