hello ladies! What else can I do beside cook and clean?

I am a new member here, I start to be a stay home mom a 8 months ago, since a losted my job, it had not been easy for me to adapt to this situation, thanks God my husban can support Us, I been looking for job so far nothing yet, but right now I stay wih my two step sons, meanwhile they go back to school, but sometimes I feel like I am wasting time just be in home, maybe is not a good feeling, my other problem is we have only one car, is why I asking ideas from all the others stay home moms, like what else can I do, beside cleaning and cooking, thank you and excuse my bad grammar sometimes, I am still learning english, well I was not born in america.

Hi! True that being at home can lead to a routine of cleaning, cooking, picking up laundry, etc... The trick is to do something for yourself in between. I personally go to the gym right after dropping off my kid at preschool every day. I've made some friends there, so it's a good way to vent, fit in a workout and feel good after. Ready for the rest of the days work.

I crochet, read, go for walks with my daughter, I organize cabinets and stuff in my home. I used to have a garden which was great while I had it, but it attracted too many bees and being deathly allergic to them, I decided to give up on that hobby. I have a loose schedule that goes around my household chores and my college classes online, but i have made it to where I have plenty of time during the day to keep myself from feeling like a maid!

Do you have any hobbies? If not, find something you enjoy doing. Go back to college/Uni. Have lunch with friends. Go for a walk. Gardening (for instance, start a vegetable garden if you have some space), I guess it just depends on what facilities you have, what your interests are.
