At my last OB appt I had lost 2lbs. When I weighed myself today I found I lost another pound. I eat until I am full. I eat healthy. I don't want to have to stuff myself with crap in order to gain weight. Please ladies help me start gaining healthy weight. I have been under stress but that has never caused me to lose weight before.

I'm expecting my third baby March 7th and I'm losing weight as well. I was 120 lbs before I got pregnant, my first doctors appt after I got pregnant, I was 116 lbs. The last doctors appt I was 115 lbs. My last 2 pregnancies, I was really small and no one could tell I was pregnant but I actually gained 20-30 lbs with them. And they are my son and daughter. I'm pregnant with a boy again and keep losing weight. The ultrasounds show everything healthy and the heart rates good but I still worry!

Was the doctor concerned? Did he/she give a reason for the possible weight loss? If he/she isn't too concerned, I wouldn't be either.

I am also in my 3rd trimester and lost 2lbs at my last appt. I also have only gained 4lbs total and am going on 32wks pregnant and wasn't significantly overweight in the beginning. My OB is not overly concerned. So I wouldn't worry.

I really dont think it should be anything to worry about though... my dr. isnt concerned either but he is making me go for more ultrasounds then other mothers. But if you are really worried maybe just go to the ER just to make sure baby's ok.

Amanda - I had a Dr, appt yesterday and I am down another 1/2 pound. My Dr didn't say anything so she must not be concerned. I have an ultrasound mid Jan. Hopefully baby is growing as she needs to be. My son was 9lbs 7oz, my daughter at 5 weeks early was 5lbs 6oz. Scared this baby will be too small. Also concerned baby may come early like her sister.

This is a pretty normal thing. Especially late in pregnancy, when you get closer to giving birth sometimes it is normal for a woman to stop gaining or even lose a little weight. I wouldnt be too concerned

Yep, baby is quite active. Heartbeat is around 150. I will try not to worry. Thank you ladies.

Is your uterus growing? Was baby's heartbeat normal? if those things change then cross that bridge when you come to it. But if your uterus is growing and your baby's heartbeat is fine, you're feeling movement etc., then I would try not to worry and enjoy the last little bit of your pregnancy!

I was 151 lbs when I got pregnant. My first trimester I was dry heaving or vomiting the entire time. I had a hard time gaining weight. Now that I'm in my 3rd trimester and weighing 165 lbs I am finding that at every appointment I am losing 2lbs. I was hoping to be over 170lbs by now. The bigger I get (when pregnant) the happier I am. Both weight wise and girth wise. With my son I gained between 25 and 30 lbs. With this pregnancy I've only gained 15lbs. Scared my baby isn't able to gain when I'm constantly losing.

Personal question, no offense intended. Were you at all over-weight before you got pregnant? I was. Throughout the course of my pregnancy, I lost approximately 20 pounds. The bigger my belly grew, the more weight I would actually lose. Why? My metabolism kicked into gear because I was eating smaller, more frequent meals per day, rather than just eating one or two larger meals per day. The day I walked out of the hospital, after having my son, I weighed about 30 pounds less than I had before I got pregnant. According to my doctor and the nurses, there's nothing wrong with it, as long as the weight loss isn't drastic or if you're already thin and still losing.

I say if your doctor doesn't think there's anything to worry about, don't worry :) Honestly, if it would help me lose another 20 pounds, I'd get pregnant right now lol JOKING!

If you're really concerned try eating more frequently. But if your doc isn't concerned I would be either. As long as baby is healthy and gaining weight, that's what matters.

She's not concerned. She asked if I'm eating and I said yes but I also have 2 other mouths eating off my plate. I'll see what she says when I go back.

It happens and it's not unusual. If your doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't worry.
