My 2 year old son is a busy boy, always on the go, he doesnt seem interested in colouring , he likes baking and helping with the dishes, but I need more, I also have a year old son, who would most likly want to play too!! Help Me!!! : )

Thank you all very much, I have a blow up area with balls in it.. it turns into a dodgeball game! (not a great thing!) I have not tried playdough yet, but that is a cool idea if he would sit down for a few minutes! thank you all for the ideas, we will be trying them all shortly!

The park, will wear them out. Any park for that matter, sea world, zoo, wild animal park (if you're in SD) or just the plain o park. Lego Blocks are great for that age. Trucks, boys love trucks!

"The Toddler's Busy Book" on Amazon or your local library! We do a lot of dancing and singing (here we go round the mulberry bush, row row row your boat sitting opposite and rowing together, etc). We do a lot of megabloks and regular blocks, and then the big "Boom, boom down" when it falls. Organizing things by color (I just put a piece of construction paper in the bottom of a box) and find things of that color. Have fun, fun, fun! If you're having fun, their having fun!

My 2 1/2 year old loves playdough, water play (pool, sink or tub) going to the park, digging in the dirt/sand. He also loves trains & mega blocks ( larger size & safer for the 1 yr. old.) Hopefully this gives you a few ideas.

did you try building blocks? only problem might be the younger one trying to eat it though! with my son at that age, he loved(still does) exploring the outdoors but all depends on your area if its safe! and yes totally agree with below about the pool with balls in it! we just got a small tent already filled up with lots of plastic balls-this should be good for both children. but its really cute that he loves helping you out :)

I am not sure what kind of space you have but I just bought a small blow up pool (4.99) and but balls for a ball pit in it. My 2 year old loved it. We go outside twice a day. Backyard for basketball, soccer and baseball or walk through the neighborhood. Music and dancing always seem to work as well. The more they get to use their energy, the calmer they are when you come and the more they eat
