Usually signs of an ear infection or teething. Also, I know when my daughter gets over tired she will begin pulling on her ear.

If she has a temp it could go either way. I think it's time to call the doctor and see what they think. You don't want your poor kid to be running around with an ear infection.

I agree it is probably teething or an ear infection or sore ears from teething.

if she is dribbling alot, has red/white patches on her gums, red cheeks and nappy rash she may well be teething which can come with an earache, try a cold/semi frozen banana, a little paracetamol, rubbing her gums with a clean finger, letting her chew on a toothbrush, or many different things. However if your baby has a temperature of over 38 degrees celcius then thats a good sign of infection so she'll need to see a doctor. Paracetamol or Ibroprofen medicines are good at pain killing but ibroprofen is good at taking down inflammations.
The main thing is that you stay calm, babies can pick up on their mother's 'vibes' so if you are getting upset and aggitated, she will only cry more. If your baby isn't ill, in pain, too hot, too cold, wet, dirty or hungry then there's not much you can do to stop her from crying. Let her cry it out, take yourself where u know she is safe, you can still hear her but shez not deafening you and take a few moments 2 chill out and compose yourself. when she realises nothing happens and no one comes she will give up and fall asleep. Maybe a strong bedtime routine could help.
I let both my daughters cry it out they are now 5yrs n 2yrs. they sleep through the night, every night, in their own beds.
I hope this helps
