My little gal (11 months old) used to be a pretty good napper (one hour in the morning and two hours in the afternoon). Within the last week or so, she has started standing up in her crib instead of laying down at naptime. She used to just lay down with no problems, but now she keeps getting up, even after I repeatedly lay her down. She normally naps in a port-a-crib in the living room, but I have even tried putting her in her crib upstairs (we live in a one-room loft). It has taken anywhere from 45-90 minutes for her to fall asleep. Yesterday she screamed for 35 minutes straight. I might assume that maybe she doesn't need as much sleep as I think she does, but yesterday (after a 30 min nap in the morning and a one hour nap in the afternoon) she started to become really cranky at about 7 pm. Today I thought that I would not lay her down for a nap in the morning and maybe just do the afternoon nap, but at 10:30 she became extremely fussy and fell asleep in my lap while watching TV. I am becoming really frustrated, especially since naptime is really my only time to get things done. Any suggestions? I really need some help!
