Help Please!!!!!!!!!!

I kept getting breakouts and kept trying over the counter stuff. I was desperate and hated going anywhere also. I would break out terribly on my neck and hated I couldn't wear turtle necks everywhere! I tried the neutrogena kit and all it did was dry my skin out so much it was actually peeling! Scrubs made my skin feel better but didn't clear it up. I finally broke down and bought Proactiv. It was great! After only 1 bottle, my skin was clear. I haven't had to use it in over a year. Once it cleared my skin, I just use St. Ives facial scrub and once in a while I will get one pimple, but its gone in a day or two. Used to, I would break out in patches and it would linger for months. I would recommend Proactiv to anybody. I know it sounds like a gimmick, but believe me, after trying everything on the shelves and not bieng able to afford a dermatologist, I was willing to try it. I am glad I did

Gotta love the hormone changes that we get from our kids haha. I love a product called Earth Science creamy cleanser and there is a lotion as well. Its all natural and I buy it at the health food store. I pay $9.99 (I live in Canada) and it last probably 2months or so, very affordable. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I started getting acne only after having children. I use homemade soap that I buy from etsy and the essential oil tea tree oil. I dilute it with water and wipe my face with a cotton ball.

I found the pill diane 35 was excellent. also cleansing and moisturising regularly to keep oils balanced.

Try putting milk of magnesia on it. I use it under make up when I wear it as well. It calms the redness for me and makes the acne go away more quickly. You can put it on as a mask, let it dry and then wash your face. For make up let it dry and then apply your make up as usual

I have battled with acne (only AFTER I had children, thank you very much) for years, and this is what I have come up with. I went to my doctor and was prescribed a topical antibiotic that worked really well (Cleocin is the trade name... clindamyacin is the generic) it was super drying, though. I have also tried the Neutrogena 3 step set that they sell at Target, WalMart, as well as the Neutrogena deep clean invigorating scrub (it's blue, with little scrubby beads in it). However, I have learned that whatever you find that works eventually stops working and you need to mix up your skin care regimen a little. I pretty much rotate between these products over long periods. Also, I don't know if you wear make-up very often, I don't, but I really love the Neutrogena cosmetics and the Almay ones. These are the only ones I have found that don't cause major breakouts for me. If you don't find anything else to work, consider seeing a dermatologist to better direct you. On a side note, this is kinda weird, but for those random little breakouts on my back, chest areas, I have scrubbed with Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special shampoo and it seems to really help.

You probably need to go see a skin specialist - daily low doses of antibiotics work wonders on acne. There is not much you can do otherwise although if you pay attention to what you eat you may find that certain foods make you break out more than usual. But mostly it is hormones, which you have no control over, and bacteria in your pores - and no - washing more often will not solve the problem as you have probably already discovered. I found that stress tended to make me break out more also but with four kids there is not a lot you can do about that either.
