high blood pressure???

I'm 37 weeks and all of a sudden I have high blood pressure, had to get blood drawn and collect urine samples for 24 hours!! Anyone else have to get induced because of pre-eclampsia??? Really nervous, find out today if I'm getting induced!!!!

I was indused at 34 weeks due to pre clampsia they ran a whole bunch of test and the next morning I was sent in to have Kadence. Her cord was wrapped around her neck 4 times when she was born but was a healthy 6 pound baby and got to come home 3 days later. Good luck and congratulations

I had the same problem. My pregnancy was fabulous and i enjoyed every moment! Then the last few weeks my blood pressure was really high and they did all kinds of testing and before the got any results back for pre-eclampsia my dr. checked and i was 2 centimeters dialated but experiencing no contractions and then 3 days later i went in for results and an exam, my results were neg but they told me i was 5 1/2 centimeters already so they induced me that day. All natural. I was told by my dr. that plenty of women get high blood pressure towards then end and you are at a safe mark to deliver, so no worries, get excited to meet your baby!! Congrats

all 3 of my kids have been induced and they say its a little more painful but i think it also goes faster.

Yeah i was induced at 38 weeks due to pre-eclampsia, but was in hospital 2 weeks before hand because of it. In a way im glad i did get induced because my little boy was clearly not a happy bunny in there. And i didnt realise how awful i felt until i had him. Hes fit and healthy has been right from birth. Good luck either way!!
