How do I get my 10 month old to stop throwing temper tantrums?

I had the same problem when my little girl was about that age. I found that if I tell her in toddler language (drink milk) what she wants and calmly explain how to get it or why she can not have it, it helps. She still has some break downs, but I stay consistent to not give her what she wants when she is throwing a fit. It is really frustrating and embarrassing. I often still have to leave stores or at least move to a different area. I hope you find something that works.

My daughter just turned 10 months and has started throwing tantrums. I think it's her way of testing out a new technique on us. I tend to just let her scream for a minute or two, then calmly tell her I will pick her up or whatever it is she is looking to achieve, when she calms down. She seems to be catching on that tantrums are getting her nowhere so hopefully the phase will pass quickly for us both!

my girls used to throw tantrums i tended to tell them "now thats enough" it rarely worked but then i started to walk out of what ever room they were in (i could still see them but they couldn't see me) gave it a few minutes and they would stop when they realised that nobody was there watching them,
good luck with what ever you try

I have a ten month old myself and she has tantrums im hoping she will grow out of them, she understands wat a a means and knows wen she is doing wrong because of the tone of my voice so when she is that bit older im hoping she wil stop. Good Luck
