Hi Nataleigh, I had that same issue. I had a stubborn belly that just wouldn't leave. I struggled with different diets for months after I had my son. I started this new program called Isagenix. I lost 16 lbs in 18 days and the belly is gone. Woo Hoo! I decided to make this a business since I know that this product works so I started a mommy weight loss club with other friends from my home town. If you would like to sign up please let me know and I can get you started asap.

Hang in there it took 9 months to put it on and your body has been through alot. I am still carrying some of the extra weight 8 years later and 2 more kids. Good Luck and try not to stress to much about it.

I was the same way. My son is 6 months old and the "normal things" didn't work. I just started a new thing the special k diet. I eat a serving of cereal in the morning, a special k shake or bar for lunch and then a normal dinner. I only drink water nothing else, no sweets, no eating out, nothing like that and I lost 10 pounds in 1 week. get lots of gum so when you feel hungry chew that and if you're just really hungry get some baby carrots and celery NO ranch though. I hope that helps:)

What worked for me was limiting my caffeine which wasn't that hard since I limited it during my pregnancy. I also breastfed for over a year which helped. Mixing up exercise worked also I did lots of yoga and had my son lay on the front of my mat...he thought it was hilarious when I got into positions like down dog over him. The Wii has lots of fun games like just dance that get you up and moving. Invite another mom to join you or try to get your sig other to do it. My boyfriend and I did it and probably burned more calories from laughing than dancing. Just try to have fun with it and good luck. I'm on my second pregnancy so hopefully my advice will work for me again too =o)

I really enjoy the Jillian Michaels "30 Day Shred". My daughter is 6 months old and this has really helped me get toned back up. Also, it is only a 20 minute dvd so it is easy to fit into a busy schedule.

I have been struggling with weight for awhile now. My son just turned 3 and I cant use the "baby" excuse anymore. I was the biggest I have ever been, just stopped smoking, and couldnt do much, so I decieded it was time for a change. I did this program called the 24 day challenge, and I lost 36 inches, 4 pant sizes and 2 shirt sizes during that time. I am now down over 6 pant sizes and over 20+ lbs in 3 months! I recommend it for anyone!! Email me if you have questions about it. Heres the link to it! (everything comes w/ eating plans, grocery lists, what to do, not to do, etc. its awesome)!!!

after i had my son i found out i had a hole in one of my heart valves but i found out eating better and slowly starting to exercise I'll be fine, I just started comparing labels to see what has more calories from fat and stuff some whole wheat products have more calories from fat then normal white products such as noodles, i also started walking more i try to walk at least around the block once a day usually with my son helps him get tired. lol I also try to do 100 crunches a day, i kinda lack on it sometimes, soon i hope my heart will allow me to ride bikes, although I'm sure you don't have any health concerns so u can do it more vigorously, although if you like some kind of sport even if your bad at it start doing it like i like tennis and i intend on getting my boyfriend to play even if he doesn't like it lol or try jogging or running oh GREAT TIP: When you do any exercise hold your stomach in / tighten it my grandma did it to and it helped her to lose weight / tighten the tummy and it's helped me significantly I've lost probably 10lbs just from tightening my tummy when I've been walking oh yea and for some great cardio exercise they say to have more sexual intercourse My son is now almost 2 years old and i gained almost 60lbs having him so don't be to hard on your self.
I'd also say to talk to your doctor because everyone's different maybe your metabolism has gotten lower mine did but after continuing to walk more it's gotten better if you smoke try to stop that helps of course those are my idea's if you want any more advice or my idea's just send me a message on here or my email is gossipgirl726@yahoo.com just tell me your from circle of moms okay
have a great day

Count up the amount of sodium you get in a day, see if that is above what's recomended, around 2,300 mg a day. If you add all the "servings" you eat and its over that amount, that is contributing to you not being able to loose weight. Also watch the amount of fat listed in your food. 1 gram of fat = 9 calories That doesn't sound bad, but it adds up in a real bad way. For example, say you have 10 grams of fat listed in a fiber bar, 10 grams of fat = 90 calories. So if you have 210 calories in that fiber bar, that means almost half of it is FAT. Fat is burned faster then any other food source, it will leave you hungry and looking for another meal/snack very soon. So it's best to set yourself up for success and do the math. Increase your veggies, there needs to be more veggies on your plate then anything else. The meat shouldn't be bigger then a deck of cards, it sucks but it's true, that's one serving. I have found I can't eat meat every meal or I will either gain weight or stay the same size. You should poop at least once for every three meals you eat, if not things need to change for your weight loss to succeed. Dairy is a source of protein so that factors in as a meat and it can stop you up. Soda bloats you even if it's diet, so consider that, you will feel and look bigger just from drinking soda vs not. The carbination doesn't go away until after it's been in your intestins for a while.

i had 20pounds to lose after the baby, after breastfeeding was over -
i cut my portions down, added 1cup or more of veggies to lunch and dinner, drink water, cut out soda and only have two cups of coffee, switched to fat free milk and low fat in other things

i eat 3 meals and two snacks so i do not get too hungry between meals as i will over eat if i let myself get hungry

i also exercise 2x 20m a day on the elliptical and do about 15-20m of yoga or pilates 5 days a week in addition to the elliptical

i have lost my 20pounds and am now going to attempt to keep it off

good luck to me and you!

Well I was losing pretty quickly while breastfeeding but after that I've only maintained. My daughter is 16 mos and I am about at my pre pregnancy weight now but still not toned whatsoever. My problem of course is the belly/hips. I've been using a firming lotion for about 2 months now and it seems to be helping with the loose skin on my belly. I also do 1 1/2 hr yoga class every Saturday-mostly for stress but helps you get stronger too. I walk with my baby in the stroller everyday to the park, if not twice a day-it's only 1 block away. Sometimes I loop around the neighborhood a few times and she knows we are headed to the park at some point. Just keep trying and know that our bodies have gone through an amazing journey. We are strong women for having gone through that...let alone raising them now! :) Good luck.

Run. Seriously, stop what you are doing and go for a run. Put the kids in a jogger or find a treadmill and RUN. Try to run at least 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes. It's hard at first, but after a few months you'll be feeling fantastic!!! Check out this site. It's has a great training program for beginners.

Make sure you eat right and exercise daily even if it's only 5 min to start each day and build up gradually from there. Don't eat between meals and don't eat junk food. Drink plenty of water esp. in this heat. There are certain foods you can eat too to help boost your metabolism. Exercise and water and eating right are the key. Don't eat after 6 p.m. and eat lots of salad with plenty of veggies fresh in them and fruit also if you have to eat something after 6 eat fruit or cottage cheese or yogurt just make sure it's lowfat that's all and don't eat too much. Avoid ice cream and sandwiches before bed and potato chips which are high in fat. Try to eat 3 meals a day and stop when full and eat smaller portions. Use a smaller plate it somehow tricks your body into eating less. These are some of the helpful tips I have to offer. Have been working so far for me.

Honestly its about eating a balanced diet. You can't just eat fruits and veggies. You need protein and grains as well. It is also important to stay hydrated. Sometimes when you are dehydrated your body receives the hungry signal. Drink a good amount of water and eat 4-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals. Start by stretching twice a day and move onto light toning exercises. Park far away from the store and walk as much as possible. Be proud that you had a baby and know it's ok that your body changed. No amount of diet and exercise will be automatic, but with patience it will come. Good luck!

Drink only water, cut junk food out and excercise atleast 30mins a day. Try different exercise routines every day, as your body gets used to one and eventually adapts itself to the point where it is hard to lose weight, try even doing things at home like walking up and down steps, push ups against the wall and squats. Hope that helps

I cut out all sugar drinks (tea, coffee, sodas) and try to eat a food from each food group (except meat) at least twice each day. You don't really have to cut out too much in a diet, as long as you exercise--well, obviously cut out junk food, like chips, fast food, processed foods, cookies, ice cream and all that, but most real food is actually very good for you..

How often do you exercise and for how long? Once or twice a week won't make a difference, nor will 10 minutes every day. I exercise for 45 minutes 4 times a week (alternate weight training and cardio) and go hiking or repelling twice a month. I also ride my bike with my son up to the pool in our neighborhood about 4 times a week (it's only a 10 minute ride each way) and actually swim at the pool. When he was littler I had a cart that attached to the bike to pull him in--that gave me an AWESOME bum! lol

I had my second son 3mos ago and gained 60lbs!!! Yep that much :-(
I started working out about 3weeks ago. What I told my self this time around is not worrying about “Losing the weight” its about “Getting healthy and toned” I keep telling my self this because other wise all I can think about is being my size 11-12 and looking sexy might I add!!! I also did a little homework and realized that you have to find what works for you. Some count calories, some go on fad diets, others eat twice a day. But this is what I did. I said I would eat just about anything I want…I will just eat it in moderation and stop myself from having 6cookies only eating 2-3. My downfall is chocolate!!! Like a smoker who needs a cigarette…I need chocolate. So I have replaced eating candy bars with Nutella..it’s a chocolate and hazelnut spread you can find in the peanut butter and jelly section at your local store. And I will devote 30min aday to walking and light cardio (I have worked my way up to 45min). Let me tell you what my motivation is. I have a pics up of my prebaby self on my computer that I am on all the time! and I keep all my old cloths in view of my “Stretchy” clothes.
Just take the time go online do some homework…think about it and find what works for you. YOU CAN DO IT HUN!!!
I will keep ya updated on how it works for me :-)

Its been 18 months since my son was born and my weight has gotten horrible. I just started trying to lose weight about 1.5 months ago and so far I have lost 10 lbs. I have stopped eating so much junk including those foods with high fructose corn syrup and MSG and partially and fully hydrogenated oils. I exercise 4/5 times a week for at least 30 min, drink more water, and try my hardest to get at least 6 hours of sleep at night. Its rough though. good luck to you.

3.5 years later & I'm still trying. Maybe mix up the routine a little. Do you drink coffee? Stop that if you can. Caffine does something to hamper you progress. If you get something to work for ya, let us know.
