Think about the skills that you have. Can you sew? You could do alterations. What about post highschool education? Did you go to college? If so, can you maybe telecommute and use your education in that fashion. If you are in a real pinch, what about working out of the home part-time and trading sitting with a friend who needs some time to themself as well?
What about meeting with a local community college career councilor to talk about what you can do at home.
Sorry if this isn't the help you were looking for.

You see, not all home businesses are a scam. The ladies who have been responding all have the same thing in common: they work from home, their businesses have either a product or a service and they are not being scammed.
Take heart in knowing that there indeed is hope for you. All you need to do is have someone show you the way. My job is to help people just like you get started in home business. If you are interested I would love to take some time and see if there is a way that I can serve you.
Please Keep in mind,
Wanting something and doing something to get what you want are two different things. There are several ladies here willing to help so, you have to ask yourself what are you going to do. Take their advice and stuff it into your pocket or are you going to start looking into a way to change your circumstances?
Taking the first step is the key.......The rest is a piece of cake.
Let me help you!
Email me and we will get started
I hope I have been encouraging to you,

Dearest, while some of them are scams many to most are not! You need to make sure that the company you are looking for has a service or product. It they do, you are good to go.
I have been a home business owner for 3 years now. It has absolutely changed my life!! I love staying home with my kids
I am a mom of four and I homeschool them and I have for 14 years. I am a coordinatior with our homeschool group and I also run a farm. I still find time to have dates with my husband and time with my family( sisters, mom etc.) With all that I can still run a home business.
Haveing a home business opens up your time. No need to clean house, call the house keeper. 4 hours, SAVED TO PLAY WITH THE KIDS! See!
No experience nessisary, If you are teachable, your good to go..
The best part of home business ownership is that the family and I are always traveling, playing and doing things because we have not only the time freedom but the money freedom to.
I would love to talk to you more about it but, if it it something you want to pursue, then you should. Home business works!
I hope that helped

(that's right. I said lifetime guarantee) so, send me an email if you are interested at all, and I can get you more info... or, you can go to www.discoverytoys.com and check it out for yourself!

Christina I am going through the same thing as you. I have been looking in to several options, and have been leaning towards starting a licensed family childcare. One of my husbands co-workers told them about their daycare and all the assistance that the counties/state/and gov give you, not to mention the UNBELIEVABLE (and legal) tax breaks home day cares get! Here there is a program called Child Development Resources that does an orientation(free), and a start up class ($15) to help you get started. Now I'm not the most kid and baby person out there so I kind of hesitated at first. But what I am is a loving mom that wants to stay home and raise my daughter. I have an 11 year old son who I was unable to stay at home with and so I know the type of daycare that I wanted for him, and that is what I want to be able to provide for another mother or parent in that position. Where I live the max kids for 1 person is 6 (including your own infant) and a childcare accountant that spoke at the start up class told us average income (tax free with legit deductions) is approx 36K a year! I'm not saying that this is for everyone, but it's another option for you to think about. Also when you are licensed there are several programs like CDR that you can sign up with that will refer you children too. Something to think about. Best of luck and blessings

Christina I agree being your own boss is the way to go, your young enough and with your children being little by the time they are in HS or College you will need to be financially, emotionally and physically ready for all life will bring you...I want to know what Lisa D suggest for home businesses and how to get started. I too am looking for home businesses.

Aww! Just know Christina that it doesn't have to be that way. Working at home is hard work...but even if you don't work at home with a business it's still hard keeping up with the house and kids, and hubby lol! Working out of the home is hard too...so try to find a company that you just LOVE the products and it will make it that much easier to want to succeed and do what it takes to get back that lifestyle you want.
I'm not there yet, but I will be. I'm working hard towards this goal and I know it will get here soon enough :). I hope you find the same for you too!!

Thank yo so much ladies, you have given me a bit of hope, I was feeling a bit lost and a bit alone in all this, I had never had this type of situation happen to me, I used to work and travel all summer if I so wanted to, but now it's like the world is leaving me behind and the money worries are taking over, it's overwhelming, you know?

Hey Christina... I work at home with AmeriPlan, a direct sales company but I didn't start there. I've been with a few and actually considered a couple that were scams. Thankfully I found some information to help me know the difference between a scam and a real company. In the huge Work At Home Moms group here on CoM I'm a moderator over there and I pinned to the top of the group information to help all those looking for work at home to help know what are some typical scams, to know the difference between a job and a business, to know whether a direct sales company is a pyramid scheme or legit and a couple more. Here are direct links to 2 of those discussions:
These posts should help guide you! You can start investigating your options by PM'ing people that you see they work from home and ask them what they do. Get all the info you can, really do your research. You can usually complete research in about a week. You'll want to join the company that you just can't stop thinking about! You'll know it when you hear information about it.
Just be sure to check out their credentials...many businesses have specials to join that are super cheap (including my company this month) so be on the look out for those too.
There are also work at home jobs out there but they are harder to get. I usually suggest to just go out there and find a direct sales business that you fall in love with the product or service as you can start right away and with really hard work you can make a part time living by the time you would find a work at home job.
If you have any questions just ask me and I'll be happy to help!

I have to stay at home with my son, and I am looking for a way to work from home, but all those sites that offer the whole "work from home" thing, look to me like scams, so my question is how do you make money from home, I'm in dire need of income and need real help if you please.
