we have small kids but it has started all the after school activities and over the summer activities.. as of right now the boys do baseball and 4-h! and we do wed night church. our lil girl is starting dance soon!

my seven year old enjoys skating classes thrice a week besides once a week in school..also he attends abacus classes for memory and concentration skills enhancement... thats it..other than these he enjoys cycling and cricket whenever he wishes.

We are an active family. I have a six year old and 9 year old. Both are very active in church in the children's choir, AWANA groups on Wed. We have Soccer in the spring and very active in school with their programs and PTA events. But our biggest thing is to get involved as a family. We do Biking, Hiking, Camping, and other out door sports, and we also do music together. I play violin and they want to learn how to play. We stay busy, but as a certain point one starts to feel too busy. The challenge is to keep that balanced and yet let your kids experience different things. My girls would love to do dance, so Good luck with that. Keep kids active and engaged and they will do better in school too!

Sports are a must!!! My oldest is currently in karate, soccer, and baseball. He will do swimming once the local pool opens. My daughter is 3 and her first sport will be this spring. which is soccer for tots. She to will be in swimming and I would love to start her in gymnastics or dance too. And my last but surely not least is Baby roman and he is just 7 months old.

My 2 year old and I go to a once a week music class. We love it. We'll have a semester break from that soon. During that time, I'm looking into doing a once a week (for 4 weeks) nature class for toddlers at a local nature center. We also are very involved with our church. I'm thinking one activity at a time (plus church) is plenty for us. It will likely be the same once she starts school.

I have five kids and I started them at 3 years old with gymnastics and then moved on to swimming. My now 7 year old was doing karate, my 5 and 3 year olds were doing gymnastics. This is in addition to taking my son to school chess and daughter to preschool so I am careful to not over schedule myself. Being the choffer is not too fun but I think activities are important. So in the spring I will start them in swimming. I usually do a field trip or two each week with the younger ones that are not going to school or preschool as well.

None. They are 2 and 4. :) We have friends over who have kids and they do play dates and she has preschool. That's about it. I never really counted church as an activity, but I guess then there's that. Sunday school for them while we're in church. I just can't afford all the extra stuff. We just go places as a family and do things that cost nothing or next to nothing.
