How much would you pay for an Ergo?

I really want an Ergo carrier, but money is tight. I also don't know if my hubby will understand why I need yet another carrier (the ones I have are okay, but I keep thinking that the Ergo is *the one*). I see postings on Craigslist for $90-$100, but that still seems so expensive. Maybe my question should be 'how much would you charge for an Ergo?' Does $50 seem reasonable? Or is that too cheap?

Is the carrier really worth it? I have a 16 month old, and am thinking of making #2 soon. I also see a lot of people selling it in the color black. I live in a hot climate and wonder how hot it would make my kid?

Any thoughts or words of wisdom? Thanks!

(is anyone selling their Ergo......?)

I wish I would've bought one with my first, but like you, I thought they were too expensive. I got an Ergo while pregnant with my second and she's now 3 weeks old. I love it. It's so easy to use and very comfortable to wear. I bought mine at a store in my town so I paid around $100 and also had to buy the infant insert. It's worth every penny. I've heard that baby steals has Ergo's on them every now and then. I saw them on there right after I bought mine and they were around $80. Here's there site so you can keep an eye out for them. I believe they feature one baby product a day.
