My eldest and middle son both cut teeth at 4 months old. My youngest son cut a corner molar at 3 1/2 months. I myself cut my first teeth at 5 weeks old. I know some babies from my baby group who didn't cut teeth until they were close to one years old. Your daughter will probably cut her teeth a little later. I wouldn't worry about it right now. All babies grow at different times because they are all different.

Don't worry!! My daughter didn't start cutting teeth until around 9 months. She is now 27 months and still doesn't have a mouth full of teeth. I don't know if this is an old wives tale, but I heard the later they cut their teeth, the better condition the teeth are!!

Lindsay i don't know why your dentist told you that. Teeth can come in at any age in any order. There is a chart that tells the average age and order but all kids teeth differently.

Our dentist said that it doesnt matter when they cut the teeth so long as they all come in in the right order...apparently that is the important part boittom two first and then top two and so on

My son was the same, did the same things at around the same ages and didn't cut his first tooth until a week before his first birthday. Now he's 16 months and has 10 teeth including his first molars and 6 were cut in the last month. I wouldn't worry about it.

Teeth can come at all different times. My daughter got her first two around six months old and then didn't get anymore for another three months. Then suddenly she got tons of them all at once.

A friend of mine has a little girl who didn't get her first tooth until just before her first birthday. She's now 13 months old and has two teeth.

No need to worry!

My first son had his first tooth at 3 months old. My second son cut 2 teeth at once and they came in when he was 2 months old.

My son cut first two at the same time at 4 months and had all of his teeth by 14 months. Just check with a dentist to be sure they are coming in fine and brush her gums.

No. Just because he's advanced in other areas doesn't mean he will be advanced dentally.

Many babies develop differently...Theres some out there that are born with a full set of teeth (scary but true)...Normally babies cut between 6 and 8 months but not always...My daughter cut her first tooth when she was 7 1/2 months and she developed early in everything else as well...My son is now 8 months and has yet to cut any teeth. Actually, he's just now started showing signs of teething this past month. My sister-n-laws baby didnt cut teeth till she was 18 months old!!! Suprisingly, its also been said that the age that a parent cut their first teeth can affect when the child will cut theirs...There are professors of pediatrics and doctors that state that there are some babies that dont show signs of teething till much later than 8 months and its perfectly normal. I wouldnt worry about it 2 much unless something unusual occurs in which case I would talk to your doctor but sometimes you can call your local pediatric dentist and they can re-assure you. Until then, theyre just gonna take their slow sweet time getting here. lol
