Im a stay at home mom. I have a 3 yr old and a 6 month old. I also watch an 8 month old and will soon be watching a 2 month old. I really need suggestions on how to keep the 3 yr old entertained while taking good enough care of the babies. -Monica

Thank you so much. Very helpful advise. She does watch some of the shows on Noggin, but yeah people do talk about how bad it is so I was wondering what else to do. But Im glad im not the only one. Thanks again.

I have a 5 yr old, a 3 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 9 month old, I just taught my older ones to think that helping me get the diapers and bottles and they like to read the younger ones stories or get toys for them when they cry. My two older ones like to be "helpers" and I praise them whenever they help our or are super friendly with the young ones, and they in re-turn are very happy to get praise and attention from me, But also like the other said, I also use Tv, Play-dough, crayons, etc.

i have a 4 yr old , 2 1/2 yr old and a 4 1/2 month old. My 2 and 4 yr old i let watch tv in the morning while i'm feeding their brother and getting him up and ready. there is nothing wrong with tv as long as its not all day every day. crayons, playdough are also good. maybe involve your 3 yr old in helping with the babies. maybe he/she can play with the 8 month old ( under supervision) while you are caring for the 2 month old. getting diapers and stuff. my 4 yr old is such a big help with my lil guy. she broke her arm recently and I was lost with out her.

i know everyone says tv is bad for children but it has been a lifesaver for me...i don't mean all day, but long enough for me to feed and rock my baby to sleep and maybe to get a quick clean up in. i let my 3 year old watch either a movie or 2 shows on noggin while i'm taking care of the baby. then having lots of activities for "big kids" on hand is good too. she has a child sized card table that she can sit at and play with her arts and crafts (crayons, playdough, stamp set, paint etc...) she also has a laptop that she can play games on. also when the baby is on the floor in the living room crawling around and she wants to get her toys out i let her make a mess in the kitchen. we have an open floor plan so i can see her in there. then when the baby is napping we play a few games or do puzzles together. or whatever she wants to do pretty much. i know it will be hard with 3 babies to try and juggle. but def get lots of crafty stuff that she can be entertained with for an hour. and don't hesitate to pop in a movie if you need a break. i like the kids song videos because then she can get up and dance along...and she's not just sitting there staring. good luck:)
