I have a 15 month old daughter and am 5 months pregnant. I'm curious how any of you with more that one child have prepared your first born for the second baby to come. It's especially hard because my daughter will only be 19 months when my second baby will be born. Any advice would be really helpful.

I hope my next 1 is closer (I have big gaps between my babies). With my 3 yo before I had the bub we just explained there was a baby in mummy's belly and I tried reading him books (not interested lol) and told him about other mummy's with babies and explained we'd have a baby too. good luck! :)

I had my second when my little girl was only 17 months. I tried reading her a book and also bought her a dolly with a bottle and showed her what I would do with the baby when they were born. Then after my next little girl was born we sat together on the couch and fed our babies together. It is just trial and error once they are born but before that just keep her in the loop and talk to her about the new baby. Thats all i can recommend :) Good luck with your new baby :)
