My son is 2 years and 3 months and he I am still breastfeeding him. He wants milk at nap time, morning, night and afternoon. I feel so stressed and I really want to stop. Please help...any suggestions?

If you want to stop you are just going to have to be consistent. Choose ONE of his nursing sessions to stop and offer a sippy cup and cuddles or some other form of comfort instead. Once he's gotten used to going w/out that session... drop another one.

Sure you CAN quit cold turkey, but I would recommend trying to do it gradually first as cold turkey is harder on both of you.

There is nothing in the world wrong w/ continuing to nurse him though. If it is stressing you out and you want to be done for YOU... go ahead and wean, but if you are weaning because you think you 'should' for some reason... it IS ok to keep going. I just wanted to put that out there cuz so many people think once their kid gets to a certain age they 'need' to stop for some arbitrary reason. ♥

If you really want to quit, then cover up and tell him no more nursing. He will get upset and cry but in a few days it will pass.

Try Dove's suggestion of just one feeding at a time, even every other day. Slow and steady. I weaned my fourth that way and she only nursed at night, naps and if she was really distressed. She did get quite ill and that set us back as she'd only nurse during that time and yet she was weaned by 2 1/2.

I agree, nursing my last one until after she was two was lovely. Especially at night it was just the two of us and I felt like it was the only time I had her to myself.
