The best thing that I did when I was in your situation was to join a Mom's group. If you go to meetup.com and search your city, you will probably be able to find a group of Mom's in the exact same situation. I have so many friends (in the same situation as me) that I pretty much have something to do with the kiddo or someone to visit every day. If there is not a group you feel comfortable joining, start your own!!! That;s how my group got started. A bunch of strangers coming together for the same reason, now 2+ years later, our kids are growing up together with plenty of playdates, we have new friends and who are willing to swap babysitting favors. The best support system EVER!!!. Good luck.

Where do you live? You can join a mom and baby group to meet other moms.

Me too. I've tried play groups, but the women I've met are very "cliquey" just like in high school, and I do not have time for that sort of women. I feel for you. Play groups might work for you though. Try looking some up at your local library, head start or church. Good luck.
